Give Vonta Leach some love. The dude is a mack truck in shoulder pads.
If you have the games recorded go back and watch the wood this guy lays on fools. Whether he catches a short pass out of the backfield or is blocking between the tackles, the dude likes to bang hard.
The value of what a beast fullback brings CANNOT be under-valued.

You gotta also give some unsung props to Turk and the entire Special Teams unit. Seriously, 2 punts pinning the opposition within the 5? That's INSANE! The guy is a hoss. And how about that fumble recovery for a TD? Now, I will say that we should've done better on that onside, we got lucky. They were on it yesterday. ALL OVER IT for the SPECIAL TEAMS!

Turk may be my new favorite Texan. I love watching him get the ball and then watching where it ends up. It's always like watching a scud missile fly into the air when he hits it. Heh. Gotta love the Texans.

Truth! FBs get no love...Leach was a beast. He looks for contact and definitely makes LBs think twice about sticking their head in a gap. He punishes people and I think you have to give credit to everybody in the run game for softening up both the KC and especially the CAR Ds

I agree. That is why we matched the offer sheet and brought him back. He took two defenders out on the TD run by Ahman.

Vonta did great! He had a lot of his family at the game, in fact I met his mother outside of the stadium and got a couple of pictures with her! I'm still waiting for my friend to email them to me and once he does I'll see if I can figure out how to post them.

The fact is that, whether you are looking at offense, defense, special teams, or any subset of the above - these Texans are tough. They are fighters.

Even the punter is tough. How many teams can say that?

I was going to bring up that play too. He helped create that lane. I think I heard that he had 5 catches all of last season and he had five yesterday...something like that. Great game for him!
