I don't think it's necessary to have a "list". The feeling of proving them wrong should be enough gratification.

To be fair to coltiniraq,
he didn't say that tony ugoh will handle Mario. He said that he has gone against 2 supposedly really good DE the last 2 weeks and held his own.

I am feeling that McCarthyism has taken over the board.

Next thing we all know we will get a PM from AA asking, "Do you or anyone you know ever said anything negative toward the Texans?"

Official Crow list 2007.

Hahahaha..i don't know why..but i think it is funny. It probably is a bit over the top but..AA is right....it makes it easy to see who needs what size portions and who gets the beak and who gets the feet.

amazingandre...

You are setting yourself up to eat your own bowl of crow if the Texans get blown out this weekend. Remember, we are playing without Andre Johnson against a team that has Peyton Manning playing quarterback...not to mention, they won the Super Bowl last year.

Try to tone it down just a notch. Most of the Colts fans that have come to this board have been respectful of our team and our fans. Most have said that our fanbase is their favorite and they are rooting for us to turn this franchise around. Let's try not to change that opinion by setting up a crow list. Judging by their posts, if the Colts lose, most of their fans will come back on their own to congratulate us.

So what if they want to argue that Tony Ugoh won't give up sacks to Mario Williams. The odds on that argument are in their favor. Sacks can come at any time and they usually come in bunches. Peyton Manning isn't known for taking a lot of sacks.

I can't wait to see how you react when the Jag and Titan fans come here the week before we play them. Save the smack talk for those jerks! We've got a much better chance of beating them too.

crow list? ok here's mine.

the Colts will smash the Texans statistically. the score could be close if the Colts make some stupid mistakes like against the Titans. the Texans will have a lot of trouble scoring TDs in the redzone, that is if they even make it that far. if Keiaho and Morris play, you will have under 4 YPC rushing.

i know but im havin fun...im not talkin bad about them or talkin smack..i posted what they said...not making this up....and like i said if we lose ill be the first to eat crow and ill feel like crap...but either way im gonna say we will win until otherwise....last year i said we win even though we were in a worse situation then the new texan team.....and im not quite sure why you care about my posts whether it be the number or quality....again like i told yo before...if you dont like it why respond to it? its just gonna make me react to what you say.....

"but either way im gonna say we will win until otherwise"

AA what else would a Colts fan say? That there team won the SB and ours is much improved, that bieng said, either way they are gonna say we will win until proven otherwise.

They don't have to eat crow for bieng confident in their team, they have a reason for bieng confident. Just like I am confident that we will find a way to win in our house, even without AJ.

Crow... bah..

I dont think you are looking at this correctly..

We have going for us:

New energy (people and players are hyped right now).
Good play (We have made some awesome plays on defense and offense that need comment)
Good Plan (Kub and Company have kept us up even when the score is down)
Much Better Players (Okoye, Schaub, Green, just to name a few)
Home Game!

Going against us:

Payton Manning (nuf said)
They have 3 in thier recieving core, not to mention a excellent TE, that have better experience, and playmaking ability in comparision to our core.
Johnson (our only equal) is out for the game.
Addai (he has been punching it down peoples throats, very good games fro him)
They capitize on mistakes more then we have this year.
We beat them last game, they are looking for payback.
and
They are more focused after almost losing to the titans last week. Someone they underestimated, will make them looking to prove a point.
They won the Superbowl last year.

We have a good team, you cannot deny that. I am very proud of our Texans!

That being said, it will be EXTREMELY hard for us to win on this sunday. They just have more experienced talent, that have been together much longer then we have our talent.

I only see one way to win, and I hate saying that. The only way I thiink we win other then a run heavy, time management game, it to get to Payton and rattle him. Rattling Payton, and peaving him off where he makes mistakes is almost impossible. But that is what will have to happen imo.

Dont get me wrong.. I would love for the Texans to win against the Colts WITHOUT Andre. But I cant see it based on how the Colts play and the way we play. Personally, I would be happy even if we lost, if we kept it under 10 points difference. IMO.

You can call that Crow junk, I call it looking at this game seriously, and with realism.

Course, no one, not even I, gave our team a chance last game against the Colts (and I was picking us to win basically every game last season). But then again the Colts probably weren't expecting us to play as well as we did.

Hopefully we now have the D-line necessary to rattle Peyton. They do have a very good OL, though, and Peyton's almost superhuman in his ability to get rid of the ball.

And you say that we have basically no chance without Andre- I say that we beat them last time without a quarterback, which basically meant no Andre as well.

I don't know how this game's going to turn out, but I have a feeling it may be one of the better games in the NFL this year.

Some of the differences are...

Last year, most of the Colts team were already in (we have already made it to the playoffs mode) and also in (Texans are horrible, there aint any way they can give us compitition mode).

1. We are 2-0, so they are taking us more seriously.
2. They are probably still sore from last years defeat.
3. They almost got defeated by a average team last week, because they didnt take it seriously.
4. This game is for who leads the division.
5. And we are without our best WR.

If we win, I will be bouncing down the walls... but I will also be shocked. Payton will have to have a very very bad day. Sorry, thats just it. I pray we can win. Seriously. I pray the plan can be worked out where we walk away with this one. But it will be very difficult to do it.. very very difficult.

What is funny is that I said the exact same thing to Titans' fans last week. That they ar not good enough yet, maybe soon, but not yet, to challenge for the division. That is how I feel about the Texans. After the Titans game I was not allowed back on the board, even though they promised to answer to me if they lost. Is the same thing going to happen here?

And if you honestly think you can win the division and make the playoffs, Sunday is a MUST win. You are playing a home game against a conference rival. You hope to win on the road, but you MUST win home games to win the division. So if that is the case, this should be a lock win for you guys, right?

If we win you'll be shocked? I thought it was only a question of how much we will win by. After all we beat them with Carr last December behind the same line. Schaub is going to do much better.

Seriously? The Colts won the other 9 games with no defense. I've never seen a team ride one win so far especially when the game meant nothing to the other team.

I never said we're a shoo-in, like some other people have said. I just said that no one gave us a shot last year, not even some of the die-hards. Any Given Sunday, and all that good stuff.

Oh, and just because it's bugging me for some reason, it's Peyton, not Payton. The latter was an all-time great running back or the current coach of the Saints, the former is Indy's QB.

I look at this as a winnable game for us. I know AJ is out, but this about something else. This year in TC alot of us if not most of us were talking about how there was a different feel about this team. The atmosphere was different, the attitude was different. Then came the cuts. We cut players that in the previous 5 years we would not have been able to cut. When the Chiefs came in I made a comment how when they introduced the players(individually), the defense all came out together as to make a statement that we are a team. We handled the Chiefs easily. Then we went to Carolina against a formidable front 7 and soundly defeated them. Something that would not have happened in the prior 5 years. Now comes the SB champs. Probably the best team in football. But our team is not the same as it was a few years ago.
Our team is playing with heart and a goal in mind. They are out to prove something this year. Our fans are pumped and this weekend will be like a playoff atmosphere inside Reliant. Do I think if we get down 14-0 we come back and win.. NO. But I don't think that will happen. I think we are the hungrier team with a chip the size of Texas on our shoulders. And the Colts will be the next chapter in this turnaround year for the Texans.

Texans 27 Colts 17
So let me say the "Eat crow list" is all in fun I think. But the Colt fans have shown nothing but class so I hope this is all taken in fun. They have every reason to be confident. But after this weekend they will have to eat.

Even as a Texans fan, I can't see us winning this one.

Peyton Manning plus 3 awesome WRs and Addai is going to wreak havoc on our fragile secondary.

I think that the real test will be to see how the team bounces back against the Falcons in the following game.

Colts: 34, Texans 13.

But I think we will be 4-1 after the Miami game.

Does this mean that your name may be added somewhere as well? :D

Eh, crow list shmow list. I see it as being in good fun. Everyboard expects it, most fans return to help themselves to a helping when called for. Usually though, the list goes up after the game...but hey, your board, your way :)

you sound some people recently met, I said with 7 minutes left in game against KC (with 14 point lead) we will win...they all oh no don't say that we could still lose game. Some of y'all are still living in 2005...come out of the dark. It is 2007 we have a REAL coach, a REAL GM AND a REAL quarterback and a REAL running back

Am sick to death with the moanin' mary routine, we should just be happy we won 2 games. I saw person after person predict last week Panthers WIN, with sickening words "Hope am wrong" in Anna Megan's prediction blog, you don't believe we can win...Dallas Cowbabies always looking for suckers.

Win or lose for god's sake people pull your heads up, follow Texans's example..I did not see one player with head down at 14-0 Carolina. They looked like they wanted to just run out on field and hit someone.

Sorry if anyone is offended, but am tired of the we can't win. We are Houston Texans. EVERY team with ANY success in NFL started out bad and got better...we will do the same.

Its not hard to eat crow if it was served up by the best chefs in the league. Its fine dining.

Mine tasted a little vinegar-ie-y

You wash it down with some good bourbon like JD and it takes care of the after taste.

AA- You need to put the beak in the microwave a few minutes..to get it good and crunchy. My portion was too chewy.
