Well, maybe not quite love, but they do state that Carr was responsible for most of his troubles.

David Carr isn't that stupid. Now he doesn't have to play on Sundays but can still collect a seven figure paycheck.

Carr was sacked once his last 2 games, helped beat the Colts in the mix. Make no mistake about it, the talent on this team overall is better. The offensive line at the end of the season was really coming together, and it showed. Matt Schaub looks like he has a great command of this offense. It's no wonder because he's been in this type of system for 3 years. We've never had a back like Ahman Green, and trust me that is huge what he brings to the table.

He looks much better than that since he cut his hair but his nick name at Maimi was Neanderthal, not caveman. Call him what you want but just make sure you call him very good because his first two games have been great!!

come on now....domanick davis/williams was the shiznit....he was a great back and i actually miss him.....he could catch and run real well....imagine him with schaub and our team now......poor guy.....anyone hear anything of him? like whats he do for a living now?

When Domanick was healthy, he was actually a hell of a running back. Wish it would have turned out differently. oh well.

For the most part, the talent is the same. Schaub is the main difference. What all did Carr do in the game against the Colts? Maybe he helped, but Carr helping is him literally not losing the game by making a ton of mistakes and turnovers.

Yeah I miss DD too. I thought he was the real inspiration for our offense in the early days. It's a shame he couldn't still be here enjoying this new found success. There's no doubt in my mind that a healthy Domanick would contribute greatly in this offense. I don't know what he's doing these days...hopefully taking advantage of that free college education ;)

Bummer...I thought Chris Taylor was going to come out and mathc DD's success, but then he had the season ending injury. Me thinks Chris Taylor will never be the stud he would have been before getting injured. :(

No doubt. Come to think of it, we haven't exactly had a lot of success with RBs that we've taken in the draft have we? Let's hope that changes sooner rather than later.

Yeah I'm torn between three options...do we:

1) Take a RB with our first pick in the draft.
2) Pay the bucks and get Michael Turner.
3) Let Kubes attempt to work his magic and make a 2nd or 3rd round pick for RB into something special.

I'll take # 3 for 500 Alex :D

Hehe...I'm leaning toward that option myself and think we should concentrate on a LT, C, CB, and a pass rushing freak of nature in the next two drafts. IMO...what say you?

I'm undecided right now. Spencer's status later in the year might factor in to the equation at LT so we may not need to waste a 1st on one.

C is definitely something we need to look at because Flanagan and McKinney are both getting old and I really don't think White will be a big impact for us.

Right now CB is a HUGE liability, but we have Bennett waiting in the wings and I want to see what he's made of. If he doesn't pan out (I actually think he can) then I'd say our first pick should probably be spent here.

Of course it might all boil down to the BPA again....whoever is still on the board when we pick. After all, all the good players are already taken when all of the playoff teams start picking. ;)

The last two games of 2006, Carr wasn't really allowed to pass either. It was the Ron and Chris show.

Run run run!!!

Yesterday on the Monday Night Football pre-game, Jaws gave some love to our offensive line. He said that it's obvious Carr couldn't handle the pressure, as Schaub has been sacked only 2 times in 2 games with the same offensive line. He actually had some love for our o-line....I was like..."wow!"

DD's injury was cartilidge not growing back, and that was what they were worried about with Spencer when they pinned his leg. Apparantly, it is coming back OK now and it's just a long rehab process.

I suspect DD will have pain the rest of his life, and that's sad because he gave us some exciting moments.

Back to the subject at hand... Glad the press finally is catching on to what we have known for a while. Spencer's return will be an upgrade, 1 or 2 more pickups and we could have one of the best O-Lines in football. Eat your heart out Peyton!

Winston, Weary, and Pitts are fixtures on the OL... In addition, we have Brandon Frye, Rashod Butler, Chris White, Casey Studdard, and Charles Spencer in development... So, I'm not sure how things will wash out going into 2008... The reality is that we have reliable veterans like Salaam, McKinney and a lot of young talent as well. More than that, you can say that about the entire team and not just the oline.

So, my conclusion, is we'll simply take the best player on the board and won't worry about need too much in the draft. After all, Rick Smith can plug some pretty big holes with all the cap room we have next year.

Added thought... McKinny and Flannigan are both getting up there in Football Years, hopefully they can grab a good center next year and start the grooming process.

Just think...if Spencer doesnt come back at 100% (and I hope he does) we have a shot at LT Long from Michigan....I have a feeling he's gonna go high though so not sure we would want to trade up that far....any other good LT's or centers coming out this year????

This was most impressive to me too. These guys are playing together and looking pretty good.

Now if we can get Salaam to quit making retarded penalties every game we'll be in good shape.
