I kinda dont want AJ to play this week against Indy...and here is why: first, i dont want him to come back too soon(i know its just a sprain but still) and risk further injury that will hold him out of more than just one game...and second, if we can beat Indy(and i believe we can) without AJ then there will not be, or at least should not be, any doubt in people's mind that we are a different team and we are a legitimate contender in this league...

If he can go, then he needs to go. BUT if he is border line then he needs to sit out. You are right, in that we need him for the long haul.

and its going to give the other guys a chance to step up learn how to be playmakers...this could help in the long run

Not having AJ could prove to the team that they can win without him and a couple of others can get the chance to shine. Good for the team long term I think.

lol Would you listen to yourselves?

If AJ got injured this time last year what would you be saying?

Oh. S$&%! AJ can't go this weekend? I'm going to the beach. I can't stand to watch another slaughter.

2-0 feels mighty good doesn't it?:D

Honestly the colts secondary doesn't scare me at all (Except Bob Sanders is a freaking dynamo). AJ sitting this game I think wouldn't hurt us nearly as bad as it would've in the carolina game, or could possibly in the Oakland game (wasn't there defense superb last year? What happened).

Besides, I'll be at Reliant cheering for them, so we'll have that going for us.

This could be a blessing in disguise. Jacoby could get some much needed touches so that he can gain some valuable confidence. He's been out of the picture during the regular season, for the most part, so having him get some touches could pay dividends later in the year. We still have Walter and Daniels so I still feel confident about our chances.

He needs to sit out until his knee is ready. If he comes back too early and gets injured, we would be complaining why the coaches and doctors let him play too early

I want him out there just for the fear or decoy factor even if he's not 100%. Of course I don't want him to worsen the injury but this is a statement game.

We don't need no freakin' players to beat the Colts. Just get people out of the stands to go down theya and kick they butts. :D

This is huge game for JJ and Mathis. This is their chance to prove themselves.

whats the odds of Aj mysteriously playing sunday??? You tend to see alot of guys in the NFL slated not to play have a miraculous recovery and have a huge game come gametime. Im sure it's to trick the other team into prepairing for someone else. I have a feeling we shouldnt be suprised to see AJ on the field come sunday. What do ya'll think? Could it be a decoy??

Well we didn't have the defense, RB or QB we had last year either.
I think our recieving corp is talented and deep enough to still get open and make plays with AJ getting healthy for the rest of the season.

It's time for Jacoby to be the go to guy this week. Walter and Davis need strong games.

I think the odds are near zero.

I have a feeling we shouldn't be surprised if AJ misses the next two games.

Could it be a decoy??
Umm ... no.

I agree, sit AJ out unless he is 100% recovered. This guy is too important to our offense to risk aggrivating an injury. Also, I would like to see if we can spread the ball around better and not rely on AJ for all of our TDs and yards. This would be a good opportunity to give the other recievers some work, and to key in on our running game.

I think this Colts game is a real no pressure situation. If we lose, so what, they are the best team in the NFL. Everyone in the world expects the Colts to win this game, its no big deal if they do. But if we win then its a huge deal for the Texans.

Hey, Tons of pressure here!! We get past the Colts we have a very good chance of getting to 7 - 0 and first place in the division!!!

I agree to an extent. I want to see AJ play because we are smoking hot and since we are playing Indy at home, we have a much better chance to win this one as opposed to when we have to play them at RCA.

On the other hand, the season is a grind and I don't want him reaggravating his injury forcing him to be out longer. Plus, opposing players key on injuries, they will try to take AJ's legs out as much as possible. Also, if this team is for real, somebody will step up and Jacoby and OD seem to be the most likely candidates for a break-out performance. We have the speed to strecth the field but we have to make plays and score 6's and not 3's.

All that being said, I wish I could go to the game on Sunday. That building is going to be shaking! This town shows up when we have something to stand behind.

Have any of you guys been watching it is going to be Mathis out there I think he is the backup to Andre. I think he will be a surprise playmaker. He caught a lot of the balls going his way in Preseason. I would like to see more 3 wr sets this week and get JJ more involved.

You guys must be out of your freakin minds. AJ has been getting all of the big catches this year, and without him, we are going to be in trouble. Mathis and Walter and the other may step up, but they can't replace him as any real threat. We are going to have to play fantastic defense, much like the Titans did, and we are going to have to run, run, run!

You sound like you have watched both games, and not just watched highlights . Jacoby had a huge 3rd down catch against KC and Owen Daniels had several big catches in both games to keep drives alive.

I'm not discounting what Andre brings us but he is not the only play-maker on offense. He is probably our most lethal but other people have to step up and can step up.

i would like to see a 4 WR set...davis, mathis, walter, jones...three guys with blazing speed and one excellent route runner in the slot...there should be gaps all over the field for schaub to exploit...

I do agree, if we can spread their secondary we could not only wear them down but we could also open up some huge holes for the run game;). I wouldn't mind seeing JJ used as a RB, I think the kid has potential in that department (just my opinion).

NO...jj is an open field kind of guy...not a run between the tackles kind....

yeah i agree...maybe a couple of end arounds...keep them from getting too aggressive against the run...alot of screen plays...and my favorite play of all time...the naked boot...

He has only proven himself in the open field, with his speed and agility I really think he could put up some good numbers. I know he's not Green, Bush, or McAllister but like I said it was my opinion, not fact!

What your forgetting is that Walter did that all year long last year getting 1st downs. All you have to do is throw him the ball, plus he is a better route runner than Jacoby.
