Does anyone else believe that Owen Daniels could have a breakout game this next week? He always did have soft hands, and in the absense of Andre Johnson, Daniels was Schaub's favorite target (thrown to 7 times). Heading into week 4, against a fairly murky secondary, I think that Daniels could have a field day.

Anyone else with me?

I hope so, he's the starting TE in 66% of my fantasy leagues

He is a former WR if I recall what they said in a small comentary on him during the game last week. He has great hands and seems to beable to get open.

So, with the WR corps down to 3. I can see Daniels maybe seeing some WR type action. Even just maybe 10 plays at most. He SHOULD have a breakout game regaurdless.

Owen Daniels was a QB for Wisconsin. Never a WR.

I could have swore he was a converted qb and thats why he reads the defense so well and finds the holes in the zone.

Owen is a tremendous asset to this team. He never seems to have an incredibly spectacular game, but he is very consistant and productive. I would expect him to have something like 6 catches for 60 yards, maybe a TD.

Owen is the reason that the texans don't need a stud #2 WR and he will also be the reason the texans play so well while andre is out!

I feel like owen is going to eventually be one awesome TE. This should be a good week for him. Schaub has mentioned that when he was with Atlanta that the TE was a primary target and this should not change here. We have 3 excellent TE's and owen is amazing. He has not done much fantasy wise this year but i know he will begin to get a TD a game soon. We need him to be more involved.

Boy just imagine how bad of shape we'd be in without owens out there.

Owens and Putzier, then Walter pretty much owned those last drives. They really help out in sustaining drives.

Yeah, they really do. I don't mind dumping it off to the TE's if that's what the defense gives us. You've got to think though that Petrino knows we are weak at WR and will key on the TE's. That said, Daniels is usually good for a few first downs when we need them. I really hope he gets in the end zone this week.

Go Texans!

I agree with most of what has been said here. With our new limits at WR, I think we should be utilizing our TEs more. Possibly some 3 TE package passes, and a some play action passes Daniels way. Daniels is particularly speedy for a TE, something tells me that if we were to split him out right (perhaps drawing Brooking out of the box) that he could be a huge deep threat.
