Kevin Walter. This guy was one the best acquisitions in recent Texans history. He seems to come up with catches when they need him too and he rarely drops balls. He is the type of player that goes unnoticed becuse of Andre and the emergence of Owen Daniels as a threat. The work he does is a prime example of a player who plays hard on every play. He needs to get more credit for the Texans success.

Those are my thoughts and I would like to hear who you guys think is the most underrated Texan.

Agreed. Also Jeb Putzier, Jamal Fletcher, and Eric Winston, just to name a few who have been quietly kicking azz.

My vote goes to Eric Winston. He totally shut down Peppers. I believe he did give up the sack to Mathis vs Indy on the last play of the game and had a really bad blown assignment in pre season. But, otherwise, I think our RT is locked down. For my money, some of the best DEs line up against the RT and not the LT, so, my vote is for the caveman as most underrated.

I'd love for Walter to become rated this weekend...I'm ready for him to not be underrated, and if we need him to break free of that tag, this week is a great time for him to make the masses take notice.

Eric Winston or Salaam

How can you say that Eric Winston held Peppers to zero sacks and got no credit for it. Davis had one good catch all season!

I'm glad you have an eye for hidden talent since andre davis has been a huge bust throughout his career. He's a career underachiever who has made one good play in his texans career. When he's on the field more you will begin to see those negatives show up.

I have a good eye for talent, in this case..hidden talent. Apparently so does Kubiak. On the presser late last week Kubiak sings his praises and thinks we "may have found ourselves a special player."

It only takes one screw up to take away all those 'attaboys. Eric letting Mathis blow by him to sack Schaub on the last play is unacceptable. He's still good though, but everyone knows it. I wouldn't call him underrated.

I don't see how you can judge Winston on one bad play. He's done an exceptional job this season.

maybe your right, but a career bust can't be underatted either.

How many times does the other team get a monster pass rush with just a 3 man rush on the last play of the game?...Pretty often. Could it be because everyone in the stadium knows we're going to pass and hold the ball for the receivers to run oh say 30-40 yards?

Were we really expecting the Texans to score a TD with 12 seconds on the clock?

When you say underrated, and when Petey Faggins gets his own article in the Chronic, then I would say that Winston is underrated for a 3rd round tackle. Considering we started last season with Weigert last year at RT, Winston has gone a long way to suring up the line.

He's been perfect and never gets any attention. There's no one else on the texans who can say this.

Did you really just call Kevin Walter one of the best acquisitions in recent Texans history? If that were true we would be the worst team in the NFL. Take a guess at how many touchdown passes Kevin Walter has caught in his career as a Texan. I'll give you a hint, its one less than the number of touchdown passes he caught during his 3 years with the Bengals.

This season he has a total of 4 catches in 3 games, despite the fact that he is starting. Only 1 of his 4 catches was for a first down, and none of his catches were for a TD. How exactly does he come up with catches when we need them? Im starting to believe Kevin Walter is the most overrated player on this team.
