Yea we lost, SO! They were hungry for a win and had all their starters. We had our 2nd and 3rd stringers. Yea we have a horrible corner in Faggins but today the whole defense played poor at the beginning. I think that the Oline did not block very well on the running plays especially down in the red zone. Dayne doesn't have any blast off the ball but he did run well with what they were giving him. You have to be pleased with our recievers that stepped up and our defense in the second half. They gave us a chance in the end. The Texans won a game they should have lost at Carolina and we lost a game we should have won in Atlanta. So now lets go beat Miami and go 3-2. Go Texans! All you bandwagoners, stop jumping on and off each week you make the board look ******.Vonta Leach is killen me!

No excuses. We should have beat them like a rented mule. Even with so many players injured.

We made Joey "Freaking" Harrington look like a Pro Bowler today. HARRINGTON!

I'm not a band waggoner and I'm not jumping off. But don't sit there and tell me I should eat brussel sprouts and be happy about it.

Second that, also you have to remember. Teams are still showing up and some aren't showing up at all. San Diego is one of those teams I thought would be a game we should lose but now I'll most likely be expecting a win if we have AJ and our ST back up to par.

Harrington has played two good games. He played well vs. carolina as well. He doesn't suck by any means.... I am sure he will do well throughout the season as he gets in rythm and builds confidence.

Yea but Joey Harrington looked good last game too. I think he is just starting to get the offense together. He still sucks to me though. He does alot of dump offs.David Carr#2. Yea I thought we would beat the crap out of these guys but they wanted it more.

+1
Falcons were inferior even with our injuries.

ROFL... Your talking about bandwagoners.... MR.. 83 posts... ALOT of us have been here for a very long time and feel that even with hurt personel, we should have had a few areas working much better today.

Missing a close field goal when we needed it is unacceptable.

Some of the play calling/time management is unfathomable.

Goal line failures and 4th down failure is unbelieveable.

These are the things we are mad about.

Shoo fly.. dont bother me.

The bandwagon jumper line is getting old. This team deserves to be ridiculed. They let the fans down and did not live up to their own standards.

I am sick of the excuses. If the premise is "player X is hurt, therefore we will underperform and lose" then we might as well give up on the season as soon as the first starter goes out. Good teams find a way to get it done and the fans do not expect that from the Texans. We are so used to crappy play that we accept any excuse from this team. I just want a little accountability, but Faggins will be playing next week and the Barnicle will run articles about how he is better than advertised.

I am tired of accepting losses. This team has gotten a pass for a long time. Before it was Carr (who deserved every bit of the criticism) but now it was just a lack of proper execution against a team that is not very good. We are better than this.

If people want to make excuses then fine, but I will hold this team to a higher standard.

In order to be a good team you have to win games like this. I am very disappointed in this team.

They are just like the Houston Cougars in that they play down to their opponents.

There is nothing wrong with expecting more from your team. I suffered through the Oilers and the bad play of this team and am sick of making excuses for this team.

I'm not a fair weather fan, just someone who thinks this team should be held accountable.

THIS SHOULD BE THE POST OF THE DAY....I thought I had cooled down from the game, but dime just brought back EVERYTHING that went wrong and his is def right....it is UNACCEPTABLE. They need to be held to higher EXPECTATIONS AND STANDARDS.

WOW, just because a team beats you doesn't mean your going to lose the next game. The falcons played flawlessly and the texans didn't.

Next week will tell the tale and show if this Texans team is any different from the ones in the past.

We should have won this game....point taken. We didn't, obvious fact. I am not going to give the Texans a "pass" on this loss but, I am not just going to throw the towel in on the rest of the season either. There were MANY failures on the field today. I have confidence that most of these problems will be fixed this week. There is no excusses as to why this team, practically the same team that walked off the field last week, can walk on the field this week and play poorly after playing the Colts to the brink. Don't tell me that the Colt toned down the game at the end because I saw how pissed Manning was that the game was so close. That said, the thing to remember is that this team is still a work in progress. We are already where nobody believed we could be. There will always be games like today and all we can do is brush it off and do better the next game. The hardest thing for a fan to do is to not put the team on a pedistal after every win and condem it after every loss.

Atlanta was hungry for a win and I congratulate them on getting it.

Heres to the 3-2 Texans after next week.:)

I have 83 posts but I have been a fan since day one. I just don't understand why people are ready to give up already when it is just week 4. "The Falcons were who we thought they were, We let them off the hook" I don't know I am just bored:)

What really angers me is that we needed the D to step and carry us with Andre and Ahman out. They failed miserably at rising up and playing well. I'm really pissed off at the D.

It was not a good performance. I mean after all, it was Harrington and an 0 - 3 team.

i just hate the bandwagon term. Some people think the sky is falling. I am just peaved on what i saw. Kub said he was 2 drafts out before he expected a really good team, I was just expecting more then I saw today, even if they were 2nd and 3rd teamers.

Problem is: the secondary guy that keeps getting burned is a starter.

What's worse is: he's actually playing his heart out and can't do any better.

I am confident we are going to win the next game against Miami and be 3-2. Before this season, had you told me we'd be 2-2 after facing the teams we've faced, I would have laughed. There are still a lot of games left to be played. We really just need to get healthy.

People that are still downgrading Joey Harrington or comparing him to David Carr need to get over it. The guy played a great game and he has for the past two weeks. We didn't execute today. Penalties killed us and that fumble killed us.

I'm tired of it as well, how many years will this be a new franchise?
How many years will we accept failure?

People who downplay the injuries and say that we should beat Atlanta regardless just amaze me. Atlanta is still an NFL team. Harrington is still an NFL QB. I can name you a whole list of bad NFL QB's that have strung together a few good games. We have known from the jump that with the exception of Robinson our whole secondary is suspect. So with an already suspect secondary and three WR's and our starting RB hurt you expect to go on the road and blow someone out? Come back to reality. We are on the road to being a good team...but we are not the Patriots.

The fact is that we had to play pretty much flawless to win this game and we didn't. If you want to criticize that then fine. But don't say foolish things like..."We should beat them despite the injuries".

Not sure what game you guys were looking at but the Falcons were only one miscue away from choking. I'm not a band wagon kinda guy which was evident yesterday when I walked into the GA Dome with my Texans gear on & wearing it proudly! The game was alot closer than the score indicates. My wife is a Falcon fan, myself a Texans fan! How much crow do you think I ate last night at the tailgate party we attended after the game. I stood tall and backed the Texans. Every Atlanta fan I talked too expected the Falcons to choke and Shaub & company to make a statement! Shaub will play these Falcons again in 2010. Till then lets root the guys on in Miami and not blame one guy for the loss. See ya in Miami !!!!

Last week I made the comment that Harrington was a scrub. I thought last week and how he played v. Carolina was a fluke. He looked good though yesterday. Obviously the D has a little something to say about that but he did his job and looked good making smart decision after smart decision.

Some teams you have got to BLITZ alot. Play calling on the D side of ball way to soft.

Actually if you looked at some of the catches the receivers made - the receivers did a darn good job, they got lucky with a couple catches that usually would been uncatchable. Joey didnt look like a Pro Bowler but liek a decent QB. He had only 230 something yds passing.

There is not excuses and not having the starters shouldnt matter. So your saying that second string players with the texans should never win then cause they stink that bad.Starting players get hurt all the time and teams still win.Texans didnt play well, and the falcons wanted this win more then the texans....No excuses but they played like crap...

What pissed me off the most was the fact that the turnovers kept coming this week. We can not win turning the ball over. It doesn't matter what level you play on. I actually thought Vonta's knee was down on that fumble...in any case, we needed to be more dominant than we were because it looked like we expected to win without having to earn it. Every team in this league is capable of beating a team that should soundly beat them.

Ravens lost to Browns
Chargers lost to Chiefs
Giants dominate Philly
Bills kill Jets
Lions over Bears

that's just off the top of my head...that's not even going to college cuz that's a different animal but you get my point. Texans will/should bounce back with a strong defensive performance and win number 3!
