Let's trade Mathis for Micheal Turner! Hell, we'll even throw in Faggins.

A.J. Smith would put you on speaker and have you repeat the offer just so the whole office could hear it...then after he made sure you heard them all laughing at you he'd hang the phone up HARD.

I'm down for trading Mathis though. Let's trade him and the 2nd Round pick we don't have for Michael Turner. :) We'll give San Diego an IOU and tell 'em we're good for it.

Aren't you the one that wanted to trade Faggins and a 3rd rounder for Nmandi Ashmougha? If you live in a glass house .....

Forget Micheal Turner..the texans will be over 30 million under the salary can next season. I saw draft your RB because I will assure you as soon as the Texans sell the farm for Turner, he will not be the same back he is coming off the bench to spell LT. Anyway Turner looks like another fat RB and we already have one of those.

Do we still have people on this board who want VY? Get over it and go join the Titans MB. We have a much better chance of winning with Matt Schaub.

This guy may look good in limited action when LT and the Chargers have put a game away. Whoever heard of this guy coming out of college. How would he do in a starting role? He really doesn't seem to fit the Kubiak style of RB..on cut and up the field. He is more like a fullback at 5'10" 240. Forget it, i don't want this backup for our starter. Ahman Green is fine for now..we can get a RB in the draft and wait on Chris Taylor to get healthy for next season.

Not that anything can be done this season, but Ahman Green hasn't even been able to make it through a full game. I wish our FO had had the foresight to see that this guy was injury prone. That was kind of why Green Bay let him go.

As far as Michael Turner, he is the real deal. I know he is a backup in San Diego, but Matt Schaub was a backup in Atlanta. If you've watched Turner run the ball in San Diego, he runs hard and has pretty good speed. Some team is going to pay big bucks to have him on their roster. I would love to see him in a Texans uniform.

I would be all for trading Mathis in return for a legit #2 Cornerback. Teams are going to start game planning specifically for Faggins if our coaches don't wake up and sit him already.

So... we'd just have to find a team that has enough good CBs, that they would be willing to trade their nickle. Then we'd have to check if that team is in need of a KR man.... I doubt it happens.

I think we need another RB. Our RB's SUCKS! Texans did better last year with Wali Lundy.

Furthermore, I think we have enough CB's to stand up against these next games. Kubiak needs to start either Fletcher, or Bennett at CB this week and just put Faggins at nickel.

Jamar whiffed bad on the second TD, and Bennet has barely played, but I agree, start Bennet and at least let him learn, even if its the hard way.

You couldnt even get Carr in a trade for Mathis and Faggins. No offence, I don't hate these guys, but they just arent worth anything. Are they?

As far as Ahman being hurt, this will ruin our season for sure. I believe we can't win without a good running back threat, even when AJ makes it back.

I'd trade Faggins for a cup of free coffee and a parking cone right now. Then the receiver could run around the cone just like they do Faggins.

Hes great in nickel whe is just the best we have right now.

Want to help Faggins how about get to the QB? and not by blitzing from the edge. if you are gonna blitz bring it up the middle

mathis needs to stay put

If Mathis cant play in 75% of the games then there is no way he stays put...he needs to go if he cant play in 3/4 of this years games....going down with some bum leg injury that mri's show are negative and that there is nothing wrong with the leg...well there isnt really much you can defend him on...I think he's scared to step up when AJ goes down and he has to take more responsiblity...just my take on him since it happens every year.

Mathis needs to be here

Only IF HE CAN PLAY. I, along with almost all of houston texan fans are tired of seeing him on the bench "hurt". I say they get the sand out of his clit and get him back on the field.

Is there enough cap space to pick up a really good corner?

I think we probably will see Bennett a lot once he is healthy (soon I think).

We may just have to wait for a shut down corner till next year when they have some money to work with.

If we were going to trade anybody I believe it would be Travis Johnson. We have too much money tied up in the dl and enough depth there to make him expendable.

ray rice is the best NFL back in the upcoming draft, i dont want some running back with bagage from another team, i want a pure texan, as for mathis, im not so sure yet if he keeps gettin hurt and sittin out when he should play, then he might be worth sellin high but im gunna give him a shot to prove me wrong....

also, just think if dunte robinson had a twin, on our team, this guy is just sick rediculous, thats right "Sick Rediculous" dunno how else to put it

Trust me, you wouldn't be selling Mathis high right now. If he had run a couple back already and not gotten hurt, then maybe he would have some value. Unfortunately, he still has those same nagging injuries and anyone interested is going to know his history.
