I was really high on him his freshman year, but now not so much. He has good speed and some good moves but he runs super soft and he fumbles. Oh yeah and he fumbles. For what it's worth, Aldridge at UH is a much better runner although he's probably not a fit for this system.

I would not mind having him but only after we get secondary and o-line help.

Jonathan Stewart has good speed for size too

Hard to tell if Charles is any good with the crap offense that UT runs. The OC Greg Davis makes me pull out my hair every week...

But I think our first round pick should be used on the defensive secondary myself as long as we get value for the pick (of course not sure if Charles would even be considered a first rounder).

Charles reminds me of reggie bush, minus the numbers bush put up. He does have nice moves. and is extremely fast but easily tackled.

No he wouldn't, he doesn't run between the tackles. He's good outside but can't do squat for the tough yards. You'd figure with his great speed he'd break one or two, but he doensn't in the games. Plus he fumbles a lot.

NO jamaal charles is not that good at the college level. He won't make it in the pros. And this coming from a guy that thought Selvin Young would be good in the NFL and no nfl scout thought so and now look at him at denver.

My sentiments exactly.

Jamaal Charles CANNOT hold on too the football. Therefore he won't make it as an NFL back. There's atleast 10 other college backs who i'd take before him.

We could but then why waste a draft pick on someone we will cut?

Mike Hart if you go RB. Great vision and just doesnt go down

Patrick is a good runner. I haven't thought of him too much for some reason. Maybe because I'm so enamored with Chauncey Washington and Johnathan Stewart. But Patrick is really good.

how about tashard choice from georgia tech? i think hed be great in our system.

Why would we get a fumble-machine when our problem in our losses has been turning the ball over?

Charles is having a case of fumbilitis this season. What worries me is that he fumbles in the red zone too often. Also, he's a shifty back so I'm not sure if he fits in the zone scheme.

He really cost Texas in the game this past weekend.

Y'all talking about RB's for next year and we need help now!

There is no viable help available now, we have no choice but to draft a RB this coming year. RB`s off of the scrape heap are very hard to find. You need to be extremely lucky to find one in FA.

He has a bad case of fumbleitis and he gets no yards after he is hit.

There are so many better RBs then Charles who might be available in the next draft.

UT football players are NOT the end all be all.

See Derrick Johnson.
