Scott Wright's Mock Draft (usually one of the most accurate around) has the Texans picking at #11 in 2008 and selecting Penn State OLB Dan Connor.

I agree that DeMeco Ryans could use some help on either side, but I just can't see this happening. He does mention that, however, the 2 Top Rated OTs are already off the board (Long and Baker), so we just go with the highest rated defensive player on the board.

Scott Wright is a joke. He had the Texans picking second overall before the season started. He's just a Kiper parrot. Watch how much his rankings and mock change one Kiper posts his. Not to mention, he sent me hate-mail for saying that the Texans would take Peterson if he were available last year (before the Green signing).

Anyway, while we don't have All-Pros next to Ryans, we don't exactly have scrubs there either. Clark and Greenwood may not have much big play ability, and Greenwood is grossly overpaid, but they are both solid LBs. We would be better served to take Stewart or Jenkins.

They have the Colts' 1st round pick and they Patriots have their 1st round pick.

No he thinks they are going to lose to New England in the Superbowl. New England forfeits their 1st rd pick b/c of the spying incident.

New England traded one of their 1sts last year to San Fran so they could select Joe Staley. So San Fran doesn't have their original pick this year, NE does.

San Francisco traded their 2nd rd pick last year to Indianapolis to select Tony Ugoh so Indy doesn't have a 1st rd pick this year.

Cleveland traded this year's 1st rd pick to Dallas for the rights to select Brady Quinn, so Cleveland doesnt have a 1st rd pick- Dallas has it.

I want Reggie Smith in the 1st Round and Shawn Crable in the 2nd. (we MUST move back into the 2nd in this draft)

Dude...why? Crable is a decent player and everything, but he is a rush-backer in a 3-4. Nothing more. He is an Antwan Peek clone. He is decent at rushing the passer, but lacks in run coverage, pass coverage, instincts, and field smarts. I forget exactly what happened, but I remember him having a stupid penalty that cost Michigan a game last year. I really don't see him being a fit on this team.
