REPORT: TRAVIS HENRY TESTS POSITIVE FOR MARIJUANA
FOX 31 in Denver reports that Broncos running back Travis Henry has tested positive for marijuana.
The development subjects Henry to a one-year banishment from the NFL, given that he was suspended for four games within the past two years for violating the league's substance abuse policy.
Henry has the right to appeal the positive test. If the outcome is upheld, he'll be gone for at least a year.
He signed a five-year, $22 million contract with the Broncos, including $12 million in guaranteed money, after the Titans released him prior to the due date of a large roster bonus. The substance abuse policy now controls the extent to which Henry will have to pay signing bonus money back to the team.
Henry most recently drew headlines when it was reported that he has fathered nine children with nine different women. Once suspended, his ability to make those child-support payments will become slightly impaired.

This is why the Bills sent him packing in the first place....and why the Titans chose to pass on his big payday and skill set over his liability as a thinking adult.

Apparently he is suing to avoid suspension. This is also why any team would be asking for it signing Rickey Williams.

MAN, some of these guys just don't get it. They have it all sewed up for life and they can't keep it together for a few years and then go sit on a beach in Maui and watch the sun set for the rest of their lives and smoke all they want then. Fell through the stupid tree and hit every branch.

I would say to Henry,"Dude ever heard of condoms?!" That man will never be rich because of all the alimony he owes.
LOL.

I picked up Selvin Young after the draft JUST for such a time as this. I also picked up Dwayne Bowe (Chiefs WR) a few weeks ago before he was hitting any of the "guru's" must-have charts.
Ah, it's good to be king.......
BTW, I picked up Colston last year off the free agent block (after week 1 when I saw his preseason stats held true after 1st reg season game). Didn't draft him this year because I felt Brees was finding other WRs to often towards the end of the year. Glad I avoided him this year, I can tell you that.

Yea I picked up Bowe a couple weeks ago too.....and he had a big game for me last week. I can't believe denver is gonna let Henry play still .....sucks was planning on using young this week.....I still think he will get quit a few touches though.

Denver's paying him millions of dollars. Until the league says he's out, Denver's going to play him.
I won't be sad if he's not available against us though. :p

Now this is hilarious, mainly due to the fact that a large group of Denver fans are lobbying for them to bring in Ricky "Light up a blunt" Williams. Too funny.

Maybe we can start a rumor about Peyton doing speedballs at halftime???????
It's kinda funny to me because of all the "drugs" that it takes to actually keep these athletes on the field for a whole season is far and beyond what a puff of smoke would do. Let's get real. The only reason pot is illegal is because a big corporation (Dupont) was afraid of what would happen to their profits if hemp was legal.
I would say that our team alone spends over 4 million a year on "legal" drugs and doctors to keep players who are hurt...playing.
I don't condone smoking pot or doing anything illegal but come on...to me..it's funny the irony of "good drugs" versus "bad drugs"
Our medical room.........
It is approx 40 feet long with some upper cabinets that are full of every kind of drug you can imagine. And thats just what you can see...i have no clue what the doctors have in their little kits....but i think we all know that players are routinely given shots at halftime to continue to play a game. This has been going on for years in the NFL.
Let's face it..this is one brutal sport and these guys takes unimaginable punishment play after play.....and the bottom line is that even they are still only human and a few drugs to keep them going is considered okay in this respect.
The double standard just makes me laugh because i have been on both sides of the fence in this issue. Drugs are bad.....if there isn't a big corporation profiting from them.
I hope none of our players smoke teh evil weed.

Good opportunity for Selvin Young. He's going to make the most of it.
I have a feeling Young will be very very dangerous. Denver cranks out the running yards no matter who....but Young is pretty good. I wonder when he is going to start..this week or next?
