Vince Young had 3 interceptions and no TD's. On the Titans MB they are calling it his worst game ever. Also, the Titans missed 3 FG's. They are definately beatable, but their defense won that game for them and are a force to be reckoned with. I wish I would have seen the game, but you can get a pretty clear picture if you go to www.titansonline.com.

We played a horrible game, but it was to the Falcons. Atlanta missed 3 fg's not tennessee. Bironas missed one from 48 yds. In all honesty, it should've been a blowout by the Titans, but as usual, bonehead plays by Vince (3ints)...just a bad day. Lendale's fumbled in the 1st qtr....Chris Davis fumbled on the punt when he should've called fair catch. We gave the Falcons every opportunity to win...even had a botched kick and Falcons got it to the 3( i think) with 2:00 minutes left. Fat Al made perhaps the defensive play of the year. 3rd and goal and Al literally jumped over the offensive line to grab leftwich for the sack. Yeah, they benched Joey in the 4th. They ended up turning it over on downs. Hats off to our defense today. That would've been an embarrasing loss if not for them. I don't think they gave up 100 passing and 99 on the ground..

I didn't see the game, I was just going off of what I was reading on titansonline.com and must have gotten confused. Sorry for the mistake. Unfortunately that looks worse for the Titans. They probably should have lost that game. Congratulations on the win...props to your defense. When I saw them play the Saints, I knew they could wreck shop!

I saw that final drive to win the game, missed the fg though. They switched to it after Tennessee game was over. Good comeback

This game was on the other channel here in Austin (KVUE, the one that shows the NFC games), and I must say that I am still glad that we passed on Vince Young. Frankly, I think he throws like Edward Sisscorhands.

I second that. I am so happy that we have MW and not Bush or VY. Can you imagine where this team would be with either of those guys? Our FO had great foresight. I'll admit that VY works for what the Titans are doing, but he wouldn't have worked with what we are trying to do.

I didn't see the game, but his stats were average. 67 yds on 21 carries, longest 13 yds. on receiving, he had 52 yds on 9 carries, longest 12 yds.
They lost, so he wasn't the "playmaker" they are paying out the wazoo for.

I watched the game and I will tell you Albert Haynesworth is playing at DPOY level. wait until you see what he did to stop leftwich at the goal line with the game on the line. The titans D is for real. They gave up 148 yds of O. Falcons got 48 yds on a fake that was it. Titans turned the ball over 5 times and they still won. Lwhite gave the Flacons 7 on a fumble return for TD by Hall for 52 yds. Their D allowed 6 points and the stat line will never show just how impressive their DL was. Watch the replay. I was astounded. I dont think Pac Man could start for them right now.......that is how good they are playing on D.

VY didn't have a good game today, but the swagger he brought with him to the Titans has a lot to do with their success. There is something about the guy that makes his team believe they can do anything with him on the team, and they usually find a way to win just like when he was at UT.

Ok smart as*, do you really think Andre Johnson would have the kind of season he is capable of having if VY were throwing him the ball? Honestly, do you think our defense could win us games in spite of poor performances by VY? He is inconsistent. I won't take anything away from his good games, but he just wouldn't work here. Period.

I am happy we have Schuab, but I think VY can pass a lot better than he shows. He doesn't have very good receivers. This does make a big difference. I always thought he would be like vick and run all the time, but he actually tries to pass first. I think VY will be very hard to beat in a couple of years, he can just hurt you in so many ways.

VY is what he is. He is a run-first quarterback trying to become a passing quarterback. If you saw the highlights from the Atlanta game, he makes bad decisions. He can get better, but he'll never be great.

In the game against New Orleans he threw lots of times when he could have run for big gaines. I could be wrong, but I think he will be a great quarterback one day. On one of his intereceptions yesterday the throw really wasn't that bad, it looked like the receiver didn't even try for it. I think some good receivers would help him a lot. His stats may not be great, but he brings something to the team that makes them winners....You can just see it in the guys that play around him. I pick the swagger he brings over stats any day of the week.

They have a great defense. VY is inconsistent. He looked good against a terrible NO team. He is not a passing QB. Let's see how his stats look at the end of the year or at the midway point.

I like Matt Schaub.....you have to admit though some throws have been luck. That TD we threw to davis against atlanta....9 times out of 10 that would have been a pick

We are playing with Andre Davis and Kevin Walters. What are you talking about? Two of our receivers our injured. In my opinion, Tennessee is playing with better quality receivers than the Texans right now and Schaub still threw for almost 300 yds. That is all Schaub. VY could not do that here.

Jones, Williams and Moulds...do your own homework. The simple fact that we are without two of our starting receivers should tell you something. If they had a decent QB in TN, those receivers statistics would be even better.

Obviously Moulds isn't better, or he would still be here, and I would pick Andre Davis over any of the other two. There are a couple of passess schaub has thrown that if not for Davis could have been picks....especially the TD against Atlanta....That was all Davis. Our Tight end makes a big difference too.

Fine. I'll remember you Headhunter and we can compare VY's stats to Schaub's stats at the end of the year. OK.

I know Schaub's stats will be better....he is a better passer than VY will probably ever be....I'm just saying VY isn't as bad as he looks...they don't have to throw the ball ....they actually have a running game. I just think the Guy is a Huge leader and makes everyone around him better. His stats come when it counts in the 4th quarter and the game is on the line.

Well, this argument started because I was saying that VY couldn't do with this team what Schaub has done. We need a passing QB. Of course Schaub will have better statistics, he is a better passer. VY has good games, but he has bad games too and that isn't what the Texans need. We don't have TN's defense. Our defense is average and we need a QB that can make the throws downfield. I'm all for supporting VY. I loved his play in the Rose Bowl(probably greatest college performance EVER). I'm just saying that the Texans have a quality DE and have traded for the QB that best suits this team and helps them win more games. VY would not be as successful in Houston as he has been in TN. JMO.

The thing that impressess me about him....is the Titans record since he became the starter .....as compared to before he was the Man. They havn't lost many since he has been at the helm.

I can't argue that. He literally won the game at Reliant Stadium last year by himself. I was at that game and was astonished when the whole stadium erupted in cheers when he ran that game-winning 40 yd TD in the end zone. I'll give him his props. I just don't feel like he would win in Houston. AJ needs someone that can get him the ball consistently.
P.S. I usually root for the Titans (formerly the Oilers) when they play, but this year I really want the Texans to be 2nd in the division so that we can go to the playoffs. I'm not trying to dog VY. I'm just trying to make a comparison between him and Schaub and what they bring to their teams.

I'll second that...we can end it at that!!! The Titans swept the Texans last year and that hurt bad. I would love to get them back this year! Our O-Line will have to step up, but I think it is possible to at least split with the Titans. Hopefully we can sweep the Jags again!
Go Texans!!!

And Shaub doesn't? Thats a terrible argument. You're kidding yourself if you don't think a VY-AJ combo would be lethal.
If the Texans can't make a player like VY fit then what does that say about the coaching staff and team? The Titans were picking just 2 spots behind the Texans two years ago and for good reason. Funny how quickly things change, this Titans team is the same team everyone wrote off before the season because to paraphrase: "Vince Young can't do it all by himself."

I started reading and had to leave off on page 3 somewhere.
As a Jaguar fan, I have to give my opinion of both teams/quarterbacks.
Houston made the right choice, even though I didn't think so at the time, to get Schaub. I had always thought that Carr's lack of success was due to a poor O line, which could still figure into the whole thing, but Schaub seems to have elevated the Texan's game to another level.
There is no way that you can compare Schaub and Vince Young. Young is a good athlete, but is not that good at quarterback. He can run, but can't throw well enough to be considered "great".
The Titans have only won 3 games... 2 of those against a very bad teams. N.O. and Atlanta are horrible. Now Jacksonville is no "push-over", and they did keep the game close. They hung with the Colts in their only loss, but the Colts are very suspect.
The bottom line is, Matt over Vince any day, and this next two Sundays may be what dictates the Division Standings at the end of the season.

They have a devastating defense that the Texans needs some get a clue on. Although they are not up to par as the Cowboys/Bills monday night game...the defense on both teams look really good....and ran hard into the backfield.
