NE reminds me of that one pretty boy rich kid from high school (every school had one) that had everything from the newest clothes and electronics to a brand new car and all you wanted to do was key his car and watch him fall down the stairs, because no matter how obvious it was that he got everything (and flaunted it),he always said he didnt and he was just like everyone else....
i know that was a pointless rant but with that being said...this sunday is the ONLY time you will see me rooting for Dallas...

So if I were to represent any team back in my high school days, I would be the Patriots. Nice  . Too bad that's not much to brag about since I went to Aldine, where 95% of the students' families are living at or below the poverty line.

Tom Brady wasn't really born with a gold spoon in his mouth. He had major frustration at Michigan, trying to get playing time. He battled his way through college football and wanted to transfer elsewhere to get a chance.
And then he was only a compensatory pick in the 2000 Draft. .
But yeah, today he is one pretty boy rich kid. :) He earned it though.

i meant the team in general, not just him...and it starts will the coach...walking around with humble pie shirts...thats just a slap in the face to the rest of the league...and they know it too...

Yeah the coach .. well ...uhumm ... as they say, if you can't say something nice about someone, don't say anything at all.
I have a variety of issues with Belichick, and they go way back, even before the monk gear and chopped up hoodies.

Another whiner. New England is the best team in the league if we play hard enough one day maybe well have a great dynasty like they do.

The rant wasn't about Brady's struggles to make it into the league, nor was it about him having a golden spoon in his mouth when he was a child...It was about the Patriots being the hands-down 'rich kids' of the NFL. I agree with valdez. The Patriots are irritating to watch...cause they're so darn good.

The Patroits are only 30 injuries or so away from being a mediocre team.
Yeah, they are good. How does that happen with the salary cap?

Tom is about to become even more visible..he's the new Stetson man and is appearing in ads for them. I'm sure that will be in print AND TV.
Uh..as a woman he's nice to look at. No complaints from me on the looks front. Wonder if Gisele helped him with his modeling career?

The Patriots (and Colts) used to stink. Then they got a great GM. They found a great Head Coach who set himself up alongside some really good coordinators and position coaches. They sniffed out the best talent in the draft regardless of who the "draft experts" thought they should take and what positions they already had covered. They created a competitive atmosphere and could count on their second and third string players to be almost as good as their first string players. This happened over time. It didn't happen overnight. Nobody handed them a thing...they figured out how to play the game both on the field and in the front offices.
It's something I truly feel our Texans are starting to build. We're not close to that level yet, but in a couple years, watch out. Another good draft and a good offseason and we'll truly be dangerous every week, no matter the opponent. Right now, we're seeing shades of what our team will be in a couple of seasons.
Be patient and enjoy the show.

Agree.
We are a couple of running backs and a couple of defensive backs away. That may be it.

That's a little more optimistic than me, I guess. I think we still have some work on the O-Line (a studly LT..don't wait on Spencer, and a studly C), we could stand more Receiving threats other than Andre and Daniels (I know..Jacoby Jones...as evidenced by this season, we need more), we need more depth at CB, FS, and SS (hopefully some of the IR kids can help out there) and we need a young, fast RB to complement what Ahman Green can do. RB depth is pretty important as well...it's a position that doesn't last long in the NFL.
