The last couple of weeks I have found myself yelling at the TV " For the love of God someone stop them on third down." Am I the only one. This got me thinking what is more important for the Texans, defensive stops or offensive conversions?
I think that the Texans success on Sunday will be if they are able to stop the Jaguars on third down and get the defense off the field. I feel that the inability to stop the opposing team is what cost them in their two losses. I.E. the third down play at the 2:30 mark in the Colts game and the Texans inability to stop the Falcons at all on third down. However last week the Texans began to stop the Dolphins on third down in the second half and that enabled them to come back and eventually force the Dolphins to punt instead of running the clock down and winning it themselves.
My prediction is that the Texans win or loose on third down. Im just not sure what is more important. Stopping the Jags on third down or the Texans converting third downs on offense.
