The Jags outplayed the Texans, period. The officiating was poor, but Jax was the better team this game. They shut down our run, and established their own rushing game quite nicely. Good recipe for winning a football game.

we did....we got our arses handed to us today...we punched them in the mouth and had them reeling early....andre davis and that horrible possesion that negated a td and gave them a touch back gave them all of the momentum and they just kept putting it to us after that....they took our best shot; gained their composure and TKO'ed us early in the 4th.

actually I think our run defense did an admirable job....but they killed us with the little throws to the flats to the backs and that in turn tired out our defense.

Gotta give them their props. I don't know which Jags fan it was, but he came in talking about short passes and a solid 1-2 punch at running back. I really thought this team could stop the run, but he was right on. He also mentioned something about that run defense of theirs. He was right on there too.

the jags out-executed us. they had a brilliant gameplan, and they executed it. you can pretty much sum up the jags gameplan in a few words....run the football and complete the safe moderate-range passes....clock runs as a result, and the texans pass rush doesnt have time to get to garrard bc he makes quick throws for moderate gains that punch the defense in the gut.

It isn't whining if the officiating really was bad--which it was. Actually it was worse than bad, it was horrendous. We have no idea who was the better team at this point because they didn't get to play heads up. A few plays changes the entire game. 3 and out vs. a 1st down is huge. Gets the D off the field and the O on. No way anyone can say we would have won but for the officiating, but the officiating was so bad we have no idea how the game would have gone with fair officiating.

Pantherstang84

Unless the defense starts to stop someone and the offense starts to finish drives. It seems to me that the flaming meatballs will be doing the rolling.

I will not give the jags their due because we as an offense fail miserably in the first quarter to punch them in the jaw.Once again i like Kubiak and he is improving our team but this was no game for conservative play calling.Score should have been either 24-0 or 17-0 in the first half, so please do not give the Jags credit for our play calling instead place the blame where it really belongs.

Go ahead, quit, we won't mind.

The officiating was bad, but yes, the Jags played well. That long, clock-eating drive in the first half of the second quarter, followed by the onside recover and another long, clock-eating drive, both of which I think resulted in points, really took the wind out of our sails and didn't give us a chance to get back momentum, which is good playing on their part. They capitalized on basically all the opportunities presented to them, which is what it takes to win in the NFL. We didn't, and that was a fairly large part of why we lost.

Congrats to the Jags, they played solid defense and a ball control offense, something our Texans haven't been able to do the last four games. Red zone inefficiencies and the inability to get the defense off the field on third downs will keep this from being a good team.

Congrats to the Jags, especially David Garrard, Maurice Jones-Drew and their defense.

We need to get better results from our QB, RBs and defense next week to beat the Titans.

While there were some questionable calls, they don't account for their huge margin of victory. Jags look good, and may be able to compete with the Colts.

Enough with the blame game.. We had them in the first.. They had their worst half of the year and we were losing..

How can you expect to win with no TD's in a game (please don't count the backup QB)? We were in the RedZone 4 times in the First Half and got what, 6 points?

Jags made plays when they needed and just ate up the clock the whole game. Props.

Basically, they were able to get the stuff together and we weren't able to

Usually, we've always found a way around Jacksonville's tough, physical play, but not today. We got our butts handed to us. I've always Jones Drew is the best back of the 06 draft, now he's one of the best in the league. Reggie Bush wishes he was half as good as Jones-Drew.

If you would open your eyes and read, you would see that I was saying that the game would have been closer.

I blame the loss on Davis trying to stretch for a touchdown, Schaub fumbling, Schaub over throwing Davis in the endzone, the penalties given up by the Texans, and many other mistakes our team made. I do not doubt the Jags would win with the way we played. The officiating hurt almost as much though.

The Texans shut themselves down by not punching it in the 1st quarter. Jags would have been in a passing situation and would not have had all those rushing yards. But the Jags weren't in that situation and took care of business in the second half
