the long ball is usually covered by our defense real well but the short-medium passes kill us....is it the olbs or the cbs who suck?

Its the linebackers for the most part. Ryans is the only good one in coverage, but the corners seem to play to far off the receivers on key third downs.

Can my answer be both? We have 1 good linebacker and 1 1/2 good cornerbacks(Bennett is the 1/2).

Well certain members of both parties.

OLBs are terrible in space and are caught out of position trying to stick there nose in. 76 yard run Clark gets caught inside leaves the cutback that taylor uses.

Exactly, You Guys Said It Right There. I Said The Same Thing And I Was Told My Thread Was Crazy Last Week. Leave The Zone Alone. We Don't Have The Right Players To Execute It The Right Way.

HOW DO YOU SEE THAT? WITH RYANS THE BEST LB WE HAVE. CB'S ROBINSON THEN FAGGINS. u CAN'T RUN A ZONE LIKE THAT

Cornerback is a much bigger concern than LB. Of course Jones Drew will burn Clark in the flat, there is no other possible outcome of that matchup. But Danny Clark is a good linebacker and an asset to this team. He is huge in stopping the run, he just cant cover the passing game very well. We need to account for this in our schemes. Use DeMeco more in pass coverage, but really we need our defensive backs (safety and corner) to step it up. Also our front 4 need to get better pressure. In conclusion, linebacker is the LEAST of our worries.

What we know is that the jags ran all over us, and the linebackers did nothing to stop them.

Thats a tough call. Thank God for FA.

I say we go after Briggs and Samuals or Hall then draft a Receiver/RB/T with our first pick.

To dream a little dream.

What we know is that the jags ran all over us, and the linebackers did nothing to stop them.

MJD and Taylor gained 133 yards in 2 rushing plays (57 yd run by MJD, 76 yd run by Taylor). The linebackers werent great in this game, but anytime a running play goes for that many yards it tells me that the safeties were out of position.
