I still think he is the 3rd best receiver on this team. He had a good game. I'll give him that.

I've been saying it all along, he's perfect for our #2 WR role.

Clutch is about all I can say about the man...clutch.

12 receptions. 160 yards. He was our most consistent player today.
I have no idea why I'm optimistic, but here it goes.
Walter had a great day and Davis was great last game (though his turnovers killed us today).
Texans said Jacobi was available but they were basically lying. Maybe we'll see the real Jacobi next week.
And of course, Johnson should be back next week.
It's no coincidence that our red-zone offense has taken a hit with Johnson out. Once he's back in, we'll be scoring some points. We'll be back to the Texans' team that was supposed to make a playoff run. Seriously!

I don't think he's as good as them either, but he's a great possession receiver.

Well when you lose, I don't think anyone should get a game ball.

everyone was doubting him as our #2 WR, but he really proved himself today. He had a great game and continues to show hes a true player who never gives up.

Now if we can get all our players to have a good game during the SAME game, we would be unstopable.:D

I concur, however hopefully Jacoby is back by next week.
I think once Dre is back, this will be a perfect setup.
#1 WR - Andre J
#2 WR - K. Walter
#3 WR JJ the jet.

I'm going to say it...I still think Andre Davis poses more of a threat. Kevin Walter played a great game today, but he is just a possession receiver. He got open downfield on broken plays.

Why not recognize a player for having a grweat game.....win or lose?

IMO he isnt at good as jones or aj...
what has Jones done as a WR for you to even justify saying that?
I've ALWAYS liked the acquisition of Walter...I thought he'd flourish in this type of offense..unfortunately David Carr was our QB last year so we didn't get to see his talent..
But Walter reminds me a little bit of Marques Colston...not too flashy...but really heady, intelligent, and just gets the job done..
Although I never wish injury on any player...this is the one thing I like about injuries...because in the time of adversity, you get to see who can step up to the plate...and who wants it...and in the absence of AJ, and JJ...we've seen Walter, and Davis step up to the plate..
Once AJ gets back...this offense is going to be scary...I still think we need another LT, and C....and a young up and coming running back...next year we'll be really good

Walter outperformed Andre Davis for the first time this game. It really appeared Schaub was looking for Walter specifically. I thought Davis was going to run away with the #2 position, but Kevin Walter is stepping it up. I still cant agree that he is a good option ro a #2 WR, and I still dont think he will be a star, but he can be a productive WR in the right circumstances.

...Kevin won't ever appeal to the short attention span. He is about playing the game CORRECTLY-- catches with no flips into the endzone. And those with wisecracks about his propensity (look it up if need be) for getting there, need to check with #8. I am not trying to make enemies here, but the slow, white receiver bit is getting old. He played hard for YOUR Texans today.

I remember hearing he would return punts and be the 4th receiver. Jags never punted...never needed to, the Texans kept handing out first downs.

AJ is a good receiver, and will continue to be our top receiver, however, he has dropped his share of balls, and as far as JJ goes, he was good with the second and third string teams, he will not be that good against the 1st. string team. He lacks experience and will have to work harder to become a 1st string player, in which he could someday. Now, how do you take 12 catches and 160 yards that Walter had today, and how he performed the last 2 weeks, and say he is not a #2 receiver. Also, I do admit that JJ is faster than Walter, however, if I remember, the last ball thrown to JJ bounced off his helmet and was incomplete. Don't you think that making a completed pass is better than an incomplete catch. Speed is good, however, the result of being able to get open and catch the ball is BETTER. Now, I would go with that.

You mean look up the word "propensity"? LOL What did you just learn a new word and think we need to all catch up? funniest thing ive read on the board in a while.

He isn't the most dangerouse go to the house playmaker. He isn't the fastest. However, he runs very good routes, gets open and does what a reciver is paid to do.....catch the dang ball. IMO, he is probably the best on the team at doing that (OD may be equal to him or very close). The interesting thing is that it looks like AD may actually be working into that sort of role and with his speed, that may wind up being pretty special. Not sure why he hasn't done that well before in his career. I don't have enough on JJ yet to determine if he can be that reliable or not.
