An amazingly enough schaub was at fault on the sneak play he barely took one step back, never turned his head telegraphed the entire play ... Schaub lost confidence in andre after the fumble barely threw to him... No running plays to really spk of in second half the defense looked ok on most plays but petey is killing us mental mistakes hurt us a lot today good news is most of this correctable. A little more work on staying with the running game that kubes loves can happen but in our losses we abandon it bto quickly and put more pressure on schaub to be perfect the coaching staff has got to relax and remember the game is 60 min not 35-45 just my opion

Our front 7 was dominated again. Terrible D. They are playing terrible as a unit.
We were dominated in the trenches.

you know what I thought was messed up? Seeing Andre Davis trying to reach the goal line and the ball got stripped and fell out of bounds in the end zone which resulted in the Jags favor. I HAVE NEVER SEEN THAT IN ANY NFL GAME IN ANY OTHER TEAM.. Not even in video games does this happen! If Jag fans can't see this then they are blind....

What! Bradford fumbled a sure touchdown a few years back at reliant and the ball rolled from the field on play across the goal line and out beind the pylon. Texans lost possession, so I guess you did not watch that game.

Same thing happened to Gaffney in the battle red game vs JAX... (the one with petey's INT that basically won the game)

So, what do you seriously think about them? Are they back to their old form? One thing I said before is even if you get rid of Carr, there still will be a horrible Texans team.
I still think our front line sucks. Prior to this game, I figured the Jags would win this one based on the previous two games. Our defense couldn't stop a cold. They're lame. Not as individuals but as a whole. The quality players can't cover the entire field, so what the other team does is attack the worthless players who can't play.
Seriously, I think we are in for another losing season and we will be, once again, in last place just like season 1,2,3,4 and 5
I keep wandering around this board and it seems on every thread I see you are spouting this same crap. So here is my response...
Casserly, Capers and Carr are gone. We placed faith in them to get our new franchise off to a good start but it was misguided. So that being said, anything before last year does not matter. Its history that needs to be forgotten. Last year we were 6-10 under a brand new coach and and a brand new system. We have a ton of talented, but very young inexperienced players on the defensive line. We already have a shut down corner but the rest of the secondary is a work in progress.
We have a new QB who is at his first starting job and has started out 3-3. He is also young and inexperienced and will have good and bad games to start out...but he has shown much promise so far with good overall instincts which will help develop his decision making ability as he gains more in game experience throughout this season and the next.
We have a play making WR who is hurt...and that doesn't help the young QB, who really needs him. Our other receivers in Walter and Davis are showing promise and our tight end is outstanding. The O-line has been better, but still needs work.
There are areas that need to be addressed...but remember...we are basically starting from scratch as of last year. So seriously...**** with all the "still horrible Texans" and comparisons to "seasons 1,2,3,4 and 5". This team has been completely overhauled and is now being built the right way for the future. It not like going to Whataburger and ordering what you want and getting it in 5 minutes. It takes time...and with the pieces we have in place I think the future is bright.

i just watched it again as well, this one just slipped away from us, too carefull in the first a couple bad calls(the revers killed me) ok D, very poor tackling on that 77 yard run, easily could have been stopped(though they didnt score) we play well when theyre rested....... i wish we coulda seen jacoby on those kick offs, that bothers me. we seem to play like we're trying to get away with scoring(like we show signs of knowing its hard to do) as opposed to forcing the score on them... if that makes sense...... we blew it, give credit to the jags for hangin in and taking advantage of our mistakes.... they gave us acouple and we couldnt do anything.... matt looked like matt, great with his feet, had another fumble because he holds the ball low, AWESOME throws on the run..... he did miss his target once or twice which was wierd...... run blocking was garbage, especially when we needed it most.(red zone) and to be honest i cant expect our D to dominate when they play the whole 2nd half....... but ya they could have tackled ALOT better, but like i said they were tired and demeacos ankle prolly wasnt 100%..... a couple calls gave them the mo.... but they had the lead already so u dont know.....

Schaub's QB sneak was not his fault...it's all on the OL. Having McKinney out and Flannigan in HURTS.
Our line should have done a better job of blocking the DL. They MUST get a good push, esp when they know its this particular play and that if they don't, their QB will get drilled by a 300lb guy.
If I remember correctly, it was a DT that got to Schaub. It was run at the perfect time with the defense out of that coverage. It was all a matter of our OL beating their DL and that didn't happen.
we must get our OL fixed. I am simply amazed at the number of times Schaub as saved our *** by avoiding the rush, taking it outside and still throwing for a 20+ yard gain.

I think you also have to give Jacksonville's front four some credit.
Hey truckin if you have the falcons game rewatch it as well see if you can find the pattern in why the short passes out in the flat gain so much yardage against us.

Ok, here let me break this down a little bit here if schaub drops back 3 steps and just looks downfield he moves those dt's into passing lanes which would have helped the ol get the dl out of position that is what I am saying... The ol is trying but this ain't college or high school this guys won't just move out of the way as we all saw

Seems to me that we need to just pass on every play. Our running game is poop.

You're right, I was just really upset with our OL, quite frankly. haha I'm tired of constantly seeing Salaam's guy beat him around the corner or Salaam pulling/holding/tackling...even if the flags not thrown.
The sneak we're talking about is really all on Pitts, Flanigan, and Weary taking on 2 DT's creating a hole up the middle for schaub. Although he should have allowed more time for the hole to actually open. I just wish those three guys could just push their DT's back on that one play. I know Jax has a really good DL and I expected to get beat the majority of the time this game, but this has been a rucurring problem all season long.
Its the short yardage situations on the goal line and we can't punch it in. Our OL knew the call and just needed to go out and dominate on one play and they didn't. (but do agree with you as well. Its like a RB getting the handoff and running full speed into the back of our linemen ala Dayne, instead of waiting for a hole to open and then accelerating.)

Every QB is going to miss open receivers from time to time. Schaub is a good quarterback who is developing into a very good QB. Yes he had a bad game, but everyone on the texans had a bad game.

That's what the play is supposed to look back, you just want to get the linebackers thinking pass and back-peddling. After seeing that play, I thought it was Chester's fault for letting John Henderson throw him to the side and one arm Schaub to the ground. Schaub may have been a little giddy and rushed it a tad, but had he waited, Henderson would have had him in the backfield for a loss of 3

Then I guess Brady is a bad NFL QB because I saw him miss 2 throws in the endzone yesterday that happened to float on him just as Schaub's did. Remember, only Sith deal in absolutes......
He also threw 5 touchdowns, if you throw that much and miss a couple then no one says anything.

I wasn't able to watch the game yesterday, as I was on the road, but it sounds like we shot ourselves in the foot. Talked to my cousins and they said that though Jacksonville won, we didn't play well at all. Guess it was one of those weeks that every team has.

Do you feel like sending a copy? :D
I was at the game and couldn't record it because of fair-weather fans not buying tix on time.
Its funny b/c that was the biggest crowd at home to date. We have trouble selling tix against you guys. After last year the casual fans thought yall would probably beat us again.
