Lead block

Last year, wwe were having trouble running the ball, until midway through the season (or around there) when they started using Vonta Leach as FB instead of Jameel Cook, lead blocking for Ron Dayne. 100 yard games were not uncommon through the end of last season; seemingly they found the formula.

Now, lead blocking is used way too sparingly (IMHO), but it is used. Last week's TD comes to mind. I didn't see it at all yesterday and we REALLY could have used it in the deep red zone.

There's got to be a reason. What do you say?

I agree. For some reason we have been running a lot of one back formations without having Leach in at FB. I do thing that is something that we need to get back to (two RB formations).

well in defense of that in Miami Dayne got in the endzone following a leach lead block.
