Ok heres the deal the titans have had a horribly offseason they lost Travis henry their starting running back and lost their only good WR Drew Bennet who lead the team in every reciving caterogy on the team and got no replacments so V.Y. has no one to throw to. Pacman Jones is suspended. and to top it all off V.Y. is on Madden08 so its only a matter of time till Amobi Breaks V.Y.'s leg or arm or something.

I don't think VY needs a good WR or RB to still be successful. I believe that he alone opens up the passing game and running game with his escapability. Defensively that team is still pretty much intact except for Pac Man and that maybe where they get hurt.
If you want to beat the Titans it will mean having a sound running game to keep their offense off the field and having a good defense.

I disagree Tejano.
I think with a year of gamefilm on VY, this year VY will see alot of different looks and a lot more exotic blitz schemes to really rattle his confidence and make him think 1 dimensionally. I also think without a solid running attack that it puts it all on VY because the defenses are gonna pin their ears back and really come after him leaving a linebacker to spy him.
Like Michael Vick sure he is gonna bust a few but for the most part he will be contained i feel.

The Patriots showed the whole league where SuperVince's kryptonite is:
Make - him - pass.
The offense was slimmed down last year (hey, he was a rookie) so that Vince would only have to make 1/2 reads - three max. And if nothing was there he could take off and run. In the Pats' game, Bruschi and Vrabel "stayed at home" and didn't give Vince running lanes. They made him have to pass. Watch. This year, everyone will be doing that against Vince.
Of course, not everyone has poised & disciplined vets like Bruschi and Vrabel either.
Bottom line: I agree, this year Vince will have to be more QB than RB. And without his other weapons, it'll be much tougher.

I don't think there's ever been a QB that has been succesful without a good WR or RB. IMO Young's mobility has only a marginal impact. You don't have to look any farther than Atlanta to see why. By comparison the Falcons have a much much better running game and better receivers but they still can't get it done with Vick.

Maybe the Madden curse has already started. Wouldn't that be a kick? I love that. This may already put at at 3-3 for our division without stepping foot on the field.

Anyone remember this quote by Kareem Abdul-Jabbar????:
"One man can be a crucial ingredient on a team, but one man cannot make a team."
When you are the only talent, all stop efforts are concentrated on you alone...........VY is going to be wearing the sole target on the team............he is very likely to consumate the prophecy of the Madden Curse.

Vince might be the guy who break that curse.I believe that some of the people on this board have been a bit harsh on Houston's native son. I think he is going to be just fine. I just hope he stinks against us.I honestly think he may be the guy to break the madden curse and on top of that , VY has no weapons. It seems fitting.I have a feeling about our defense but I hope we do not let him run on us like last year. That was one of the lowest moments in my life.I am not gonna lie ....I think I actually shed a tear when he did that in OUR house.I turned off the TV and had 800 tequila shots.

i think that vy wont get ingquered but will kepp the curse going beacause he will have bad stats. so he will start a new catogery in the curse. i am not saying he is bad no one can deny hes got potential but with no RB and no WRs not even tom or peyton could pull it off with no help.

to really rattle his confidence and make him think 1 dimensionally. Good luck with that. Haven't seen him rattled too many times.

The Titans didn't have such a bad off season as everyone thinks. We got two solid veteran cornerbacks to replace pacman in harper and herndon.
The loss of drew bennett will be addressed with david givens. And we still have brandon jones. We also drafted some raw talent at reciever in paul williams and joel filani.
We drafted chris henry for his combine results. He ran a 4.33 and bench pressed 225 lbs. 26 times. He can catch out of the back field and is very strong like maurice jones-drew. He is fast enough to leave any linebacker out of the backfield, but I don't know if he can be as good running as Travis was.
The only other loss was in the return game with pacman. We drafted chris davis to help in that area and he could be a good slot reciever.
Oh...And about the Madden curse, Vince isn't exactly on the cover. It isn't a real picture.See.

I agree. With film and all, people will be able to contain Vince Young a lot better.

Vince Young will soon believe in the Madden Curse. If you except money from the Devil.....errrr EA. Things will go bad for you.
