title says it all... not that I am a Wali fan (don't dislike him either) but I am curious why they didn't give him a call since he knows the offense. I looked up Joe Echemandu, 5"11", 226, and a 4.58 at the combine.... and Wali is 5'10 214. I guess they wanted someone in the same mold, but I don't see Joe as an upgrade.

Joe has more breakaway speed than Wali. 40 times are tricky. Wali seems to play at his timed 40 speed..Joe, on the other hand, seems to play a tad bit faster than his timed speed.

Gado beat out Lundy. If Gado wasnt even worth keeping on the team, its pretty obvious why Kubiak didnt want to go after Lundy.

Maybe they did contact Wali and he didn't want to come back.

Lets put it this way. The team cut Lundy to keep Gado. If 8 weeks later we did an about face, cut Gado and resigned Lundy, it would like this team has no direction, and we are just going in circles and not improving at all. Lundy was below average. Its time to put the Lundy chapter of behind us now.

They know what Gado brings to the table
They knew what Lundy brought to the table
They wont know what the new guy has till he shows it...its not like Lundy was a world beater...
