I like his speed and vision. he looks good. I hope this doesn't mean he will be inactive the next game(haha the texans are known to make those decisions)

I agree with you except for the laugh. It seems like it took forever to get Chris Taylor on the field last year.
Echamandu is what we need. A young guy that is glad to be suiting up on Sunday and plays with enthusiasm and intensity. I'm not going to mention any names but I think that there are a lot of guys on this team that don't fall into this mold.

Is it too late to adopt him? If not, he's mine :p

Echemandu's running style reminds me of a meld between Adrian Peterson and LaDainian Tomlinson. With some more games, he might be as good as they are.
Start him already.

Why Mathis? He ran the opening kick off for a touchdown agains the Colts and is now on IR. Can't criticize a man for not producing when he can't play.

Rush Yds Avg Lng
A. Echemandu 10 62 6.2 20
R. Dayne 17 47 2.8 12
It's only one game, but if AG is still hurt next week and Dayne gets the bulk of the carries.....
I'll bite my tongue for the time being.

I'm thinking its because it seems Mathis can NEVER play... I love the guy, but he's never healthy.

I'm just hoping that they don't send Joe E. back to the practice squad.

he averaged 6.2 yards per carry and got most of those yards before the game was a total blowout
we may have caught a break with this kid, give him 20 carries next week see if he can break 100 i bet he can

If kube is too dumb not to give echamandu 15 - 20 carries next week against the raiders... this is the worst head coach in the NFL's history!!!
The man was most defintely a fresh breath of air, I say let's play him. A positive run game will take pressure off the passing game.

don't be fooled by his first game. remember how dayne had a 100+ rushing yrds last season against colts? now he hasnt surpass 75yrds in a single game yet.
So lets wait two more games if hes really capable of running the ball like he did today.

Man this guy need a nickname I can't say it lol!!! But good game by the kid , he sees an opportunity and he is going for it. I say give him more carries the next game with Ahmad Green and see what he can do with it.

We haven't seen a decent running back in so long that we are all excited about the first guy that comes along that looks have decent. This guy was cut by the Raiders for crites sake. He looked good today but next to Ron 'cement shoes' Dayne, anyone would. Of course, put him out there next week. Who else do we have .

We may be overreacting about just how good he looks, but he is significantly better then what we have right now.

Mr. E did much better than expected. He has earned himself some extra carries for sure, I think Dayne will never again be used as a feature back for the Texans.
On an unrelated note, my prediction from two weeks ago turned out to be true. Gado was cut and E. took his spot on the active roster.

Echimandu averaged 6 yards per carry versus a good Chargers run defense. EVen if you take away that one run for 20 yards, he still averaged 4.6 yards per rush. That right there tells me he's at least worth giving the chance for many more carries to see if he can keep that rate up.
