Yeah, Yeah....it's been 6 years. The Texans are a loosing franchise. The fans are fed up with the whole mess. The comments go on and on and on.
I guess it is just me but considering what I saw out of this team prior to Kubiak taking the helm, I think our team is moving forward and much improved over what they have been in the past.
I believe Gary Kubiak is going to make it work here in Houston. Obviously not in his first 2 years as head coach, but he will IMO remould this team into a winning organization. All the pieces aren't there now, but they will be added as time goes on.
It is going to be hard on all of the "right here right now" fans that we have in this city and on this board and we will more likely than not loose a few fans along the way....to bad, that's the way it goes.
I'm going to stick it out with the Texans because I believe they are going to turn it around.

Well I hope you can wait a few years.
Nah, but I've always said, season ain't over 'til you see 7 losses chalked up in the loss column. Texans can still make a winning season, but that's gonna need a helluva lot of luck and effort.
While Houston definantly isn't going anywhere near the league "elite" like some people thought they were, but starting out 2-0 shows this team can win. Injuries are the main plague, and that's what, for the most part, killed their season. You can't plan on having a winning record if you keep getting injured.
The pieces are there, but the puzzle has yet to be solved.

You do realize if Oakland beats us we have to win 5 out of our last 7?
We look awful we havent changed anything about this team since week 3. We have no identity. We have no chance of going .500 with this team having nothing to hang their hat on. The worst part about it is all the money spent on free agents and they have all been let downs.

Its not looking great but I still think the texans can pull off 8-8.

How do you figure this schedule is not getting any easier after the bye week and if we play this bad against oakland they are gonna beat us.

You still could see Texans going 8-8? That's a joke, right? The way they're playing, they be lucky to reach 6 wins. I'm sorry, but this team has passed the word horrible. Texans play like their 0-8 trying to get a win.
The Texans need to change their names to 'Houston Ostriches' cause every week they always have their heads down.

Houston Ostriches. OMG. Is it bad to laugh? Because that is so funny. The truth hurts!
I am with you. I will hang in here and be a fan until the team moves to alabama or kentucky.

I'm thinking that 8-8 is possible still - I sure sure hope anyway. I agree that injuries have been a bear for us, but guys are still getting played lots of money to play a game that folks on this board would go to the parks and play for fun. Those guys need to step up and make the plays.
Si who is left on the season for us? Raiders. Saints, Broncos, Bucs, AFC South, Browns. *sigh **** Its a tough one, but I see wins and room for some upsets against at least 2 of our division rivals; Saints, Raiders, and the bucs. All will be close.

I would start considering young backups in the drafts as well as starters.
Depth is lacking on the team and always has. Depth is also a strenght that grows with time. I have to believe that the longer Kubiak is here, the stronger our team will become. Between Kubiak, Sherman and Smith, we will see the foundation of this team grow......unfortunately, it is not going to happen over night.

Yes trying to win with all second stringers on offense is really difficult. They CANNOT afford to make anymore mistakes.
We are in trouble, but I'll still be watching.

Other than the rams and Miami..i think we have been hurt the worst by injuries this year and we continue to be competitive (except last week)
I believe that does indicate that we are improving our depth at offense even though we seem to only draft for the defense.

As hard as it is, you're right. It doesn't matter who the coach is or whatever, you can only pick so many players at one time. I think they call it "Share the wealth" or in layman's terms, fair!:D
A deep bench surely would come in handy now, wouldn't it?
I know injuries have always been a part of the game, but it seems like this year injuries are more prevalent in the entire league than they have been in the past.......I'm not sure why, it just seems that way to me.
It really "hurt my heart" to see Danta go down on Sunday. And you could tell from looking at his face as he left the field, he knew something bad was wrong. He is a warrior and he will fight to get back on the field. Now is the time when "better Texan players" will begin to be molded. Other players have to step up now that Danta is off the field.
