I have so many....I think that my fav is when Ryan and Lindsay got engaged...every woman around had tears in their eyes...

My best/ funniest tailgating moment was when I first tried that "Gator Goose" during the Miami game was sooo gone that I couldn't watch the game at all...
I'll post more after I think some more on it...

I'm not sure about "favorite" but my classic was the very first game (preseason) of the first year. I didn't know a lick about tailgating, but I guess enough to get by - as the first tailgate consisted of 2 subway sandwhiches, two chairs, and a cooler.....

...... but we're much better now.

I will have to say the WORSE - was when it was a "less than spectacular" weather day, again in the first season I think, and we were playing the Colts. My wife and I decided not to tailgate that day and showed up in time to go straight into the game. I think the loss back then didn't help any, but that was the worse time I've had. I've tailgated each game since.

The FIRST Texans tailgate I ever went to was the Feedyard Saloon in Yellow in 2003. My buddy (also from Ohio) and I brought brats. You know, the white kind. Common up north, rare down here.
When we tossed them on their gargantuan smoker, they looked at us like "what the Hell are you putting on our grill?"

That day we were playing phone tag trying to locate you in Platinum and never did. Met some other cool folks though. I had to watch the video of you proposing.

I was at that game, although we didn't redecorate any hotel rooms. I did get busted on the JumboTron with my flask out.[:O]

My favorite game was the KC in 2003. It was pouring down rain! There must have been 30 of us crushed under our tent. Shotgun in the rain! Preacher's mom came out for the game and did a shotgun. Hah, it was great.

I’m pretty sure I had a good time at the Green Bay game, but I don’t remember too much about it. I don’t know why???? [A]

Not a regular at any particular tailgate group, my fondest memory is a huge Blue Crew tailgate gathering when the Jets came to town. ... a huge number of Jet fans came by and it was the greatest party ever!
... now when exactly was that ??? .. not sure off the top of my head.

Well, any time the Battle Red Bunch gathers in the Blue Lot is a great time. But we've taken our act on the road to KC in 2004 and then last year to Dallas. The Dallas pre-game tailgate was absoluteley great! First off, that dump they play in and the parking around it is a joke, no bathrooms unless you wanna pay jerry jones to enter his corral. Anyway, we got there our normal time 7:30 -8am, game day, drove right in to the front of the lot, right where we found out later all the cowboy charters drop off the folks walking into the game. This is perfect! We ended up with big Texans Fan Tailgate area, with The Colonel and his group, and a couple more Texans fans, our TEXANS area was blowing cowboy fan away!
Needless to say 19-10 was very popular as the rain came down and the liquor flowed it was on! Cowboy fan would come over but each time they got shouted down by Texan Fans. This one clown act came over dressed like the Lombardi trophy and we shut him down, 19-10,19-10...he went back with his trophy between his legs!
Next up was all the t.o. jersey wearers, of course this was right after he had OD'ed so of course, it was the "TO to to to, OD OD" song...
Then cowboy fan one after another had to walk thru the Texans Tailgate gauntlet, some of the old timers, you could just tell, had never seen anything like it on their home texas stadium site. It was great!
then the 2nd half came along...oh well.
We're still batting .500 against the cowboys..
GO TEXANS!

I would have to say the best - was the first v. the cowgurls... Sunday night game. We started drinking at noon. I can't remember anything from the time we left the stadium to walk back out to the tailgate - nor the rest of the night (although I was told that we made it to a bar somewhere in the Galleria area).

Can't say it's my favorite, BUT, definitely one of the most memorable, and that was the Cowboys game year one.
We had a little tropical storm that weekend called "Faye." On Sunday morning I had water up to my door and I was in a panic! Not because of worring about my house getting flooded, but worrying about not making the "girls" tailgate and game! By 2p the water had started to recede a little but I still couldn't get out of my neighborhood. My daughter flooded my van trying to get home to pick me up because I threatened that if I missed that football game my entire family would PAY! lol Late that aft my adorable son-in-law got a truck in to pick me up and take me to the blue lot! I had cried, begged, threatened to swim to Reliant, walk if I had too, didn't care, I was NOT going to miss that game or tailgating with my new found buddies!! My kids got a taste of their Mom's passion for Texan football that day! It has not ceased!
Second was KC game, year two. Pouring down rain, one week after major surgery, made it to the Blue Crew in a wheechair, but DIDN"T miss tailgating with my pals! My Blue Crew "kids" took care of their newly adopted "grandma." NOW, after five years of great tailgating, I am GRANDMA to some of the best TEXAN fans and old lady like me could ever find.

Yep, it sure was! I did a few "wheelie's" with that w/c, with the help of BPA, went to that game soaking wet! Loved every minute of it!

Colts game, last year. Days out of surgery. Still woozy and trying to plan a proposal. Proposed, one good arm and all. She said yes. Had not been drinking because of my health and painkillers.
Walking back to the tailgate, my friend Tony says "so, you want a beer now?"
I looked at him, and said "yes" in a manner that has to be like someone lost in the desert for a week asked if they want water.

That was hilarious until later that day. I should have left the flask in the car. But, hey. How many people get busted like that on a JumboTron?

For those that don't recognize my screen name, most people know me as Da_General. And NO, I'm not John McClain. I am an original member of the BPPB, though. I haven't been on this message board since the great big screw-up/changeover a few weeks back. I finally am able to come here without it crashing my browser, so I'm back. This thread was too interesting to pass up.
I have WAY more of these stories than I can share here, but I've picked two pretty good ones.
GB night game. We were doing our usual tour of the lots, playing for people, having a great time, sampling anything and everything that was being offered to us. We stopped for a group of GB fans somewhere in the little area between Maroon and Blue and some lady that had to be 70+ years old came up and started to climb all over me. She was obviously WAY over the line drunk and started begging us to play her a song. Well, we were in a hurry, so we called up old trusty Mustang Sally. BIG mistake...this lady's name was...SALLY! You have no idea what it's like to try and play a freaking tuba while a 70yo lady is trying to bump and grind herself all over you. That was one for the books to say the least!
Another good one I remember was from Season Two. I can't recall the game, but it was nice weather, but a little windy, and we were somewhere near the edge of what is now Platinum on our way back to the Blue Crew corner. Some large group of people had some kids for us to play for, and this one little guy was right in front of me staring at my instrument in complete horror at it's size. I bent down to try and be nice to the kid and for some reason he started to dance like he was doing the limbo. I followed suit and began to limbo myself. Limbo, tuba, and windy days do NOT go well together, let me tell you. I made it down a little ways and then the laws of gravity took hold. I wound up falling backwards. Trying to look cool and playing tuba ALSO do not go well together, but I tried my best to make it look like I did it on purpose and wound up playing the rest of the tune lying on my back. I never did find out what that kid thought of THAT!
OK, one more...
Last season on some game I can't recall, I was in the group that headed over to Yellow. Part of playing in the Yellow group involves going in to play in the Bubble. On our way in, we had our usual debate about which songs we were going to play. Somewhere in the debate, the order got confused. When we started the first tune, half of the band was playing one song and half was playing the other song. Although we all realized it right away, it took a few seconds for everyone to get on the same page as to which one we were actually playing. In the meantime, we had this bizarro double tune thing going. I think it was Everybody's Everything blended with Stacy's Mom. It almost sounded good, too! Once we all got on the same song, we had a tough time playing it to completion because we were all laughing so hard.
Someday I've got to start writing down some of the things we get to see.
