Allright time to start a new type thread, lets see if it lives or dies. Seems a few Brown fans want to come over & have some good old fashion, all in fun smack talk. Personally I believe this could be fun. We have some very good oneliners on our boards & lets find out what the Brown fans have to offer in the way of fun smack. Lets have fun & not get nasty.:D

Cleveland Brownstains.
Can't wait for Andre & Schaub to the change the name of the dawg pound to the puppy pound. That way after a few touchdown passes Andre can scratch them behind the ear and say good boy.:D

I said once before, I lived in CLE from '66-'85 and have had my heart ripped out over the years. I have stopped following the Brownies once we got a team of our own. Cleveland is a great town but the Texans are going to win if we do not turn the ball over.

We don't have a smack forum here for a reason--it encourages flame wars and violations of the terms of use. Discussing visiting teams is fine and we welcome fans from all teams, but let's keep it clean and about football.

I really not going to dog (no pun intended) the Browns fans. If any thing they can relate with us the most their team has been bad a long time at lease since the Bernie years and have improved this year. You could see they have as a organization to get better they have spent money to get players and up grade one of the most important position on the the OLINE. We got by them last year but this is a better team as ours is. I am really looking foward to this game both have a shot at the playoffs and a win aginst the Browns could carry over to the titans game.

I am very disappointed in the tone that this thread has taken. We should not rag on Browns fan because they are in the same position that we are. Like us they had their team ripped from them even despite years of loyal support. They know what it is like not to have an NFL team to root for and be forced to watch the instate rival have the only team. Also like us, they are just now fielding a competitive team that they can be proud of.They are tired of being overshadowed by a felon riddled team, just like us. They are just as eager to have their team resemble the one that was ripped from them like we do. Can any of you tell me that you would not love to have the great Oiler teams of the 90s back. They may have choked but at least they made the playoffs. Browns fans are in the same boat. They would give anything to see the drive happen again to them because it would mean they were in the AFC championship.
Let us enjoy this renewed rivalry between two former AFC Central great cities. Let us bring back the ghosts of Moon, Jeffries and Givins and let Browns fan resurrect Kosar and Slaughter. Its about time these two teams were great. Football has sucked without them.

we played in one of the coldest games of the year (possibly ever) against the Bears 2 or 3 years ago and absolutely dominated them.
I think the Browns this year are better than the bears were that year.. but the point is I dont think the cold will be a deciding factor.
The Browns do have a good team this year..but so do we :D..It will be a good game I think.

To be honest our right side isn't as strong as the left RT Kevin Shaffer came as a FA from Atlanta, hes ok but hes no JT, LG Ryan Tucker a FA from ST. Louis a couple years ago is better at G than he was at T, Our Center Hank Fraley is a throwback and very tough, Eric Stienbach our LG is an All-Pro from the bengals and is playing that way again, so you can see our Left side is the stongest and the middle is pretty strong too, but Rt has been not as steady.

Lol that is what he thinks I believe.
The problem here is people like this guy aren't educated enough in football to distinguish the Texans now, from the Texans in previous years. Granted it's a little hard to get the information since we aren't exactly media darlings, but he could do a little homework before he came in here barking crap about our team and the weather and whatever else.
This is the NFL boy, these guys are pros, cold weather isn't going to affect the outcome of this game. Especially not 25-35 degree weather.

Wow, 144th consecutive sellout since returning to the NFL. That's a neat trick considering the Browns were considered an expansion team that began play in 1999. At 8 home games a year (not including playoff games, which the Browns haven't experienced in a while) it would take 18 years to reach 144 home games.
The Browns have the best fans in all of sports (what else is there in Cleveland). However, don't troll on this board talking smack with inaccurate statements.

Oh, so you are expecting to go to the playoffs are you? Now that your team is so dominant....
Come back to earth Buck Rogers, your team is 6-4 (exactly 1 game better than us) with the worst defense in the league....the rest of your schedule isn't exactly a cake walk, starting with us. And your franchise has been a joke for the better part of those 72 straight, so I don't know where you're getting that enormous ego. The Cleveland Browns. Hmmmm. The Browns? Just because you can't think of mascot to represent your team. I mean out of the rainbow colors you picke dthe worst one..and.... uhm....okay i have nothing. But just because i suck at trash talk doesn't mean the Texans won't walk away with a warm feeling from your town..even in the cold.
If you want some serious reasons why i think this way.
Our recievers are , as a whole, are the best in the nfl (next to the Patriots).
I can't think of a better recieving corps in the league. Your defense does not cover the pass well. Ron Dayne is in shape and pounding hard. Your defense has not shown the capacity to stop even a okay Back like Dayne. Plus Dayne is on an upswing. He looks to be fit and is getting a lot of his youth style of running back. We may not even need to pass the ball. We might just run all day. Once your guys start tackling Dayne and going down hard on that hard ground.....by the end of the third quarter your defense will be spent.
The linebackers will have to cheat up to stop The Dayne Train which only plays into our strengths. We own you.
Texans win easily in a rout.

Good luck on Sunday, you'll need it to stop Matt Schaub and Andre Johnson.
What exactly is the reason for such a brass statement? Schaub has thrown 7, let me repeat, Seven TD passes so far. Schaub's completion % is in the bottom 1/3 of the league and when taking into account his pass attempts are also in the bottom 1/3, his total of 7 INTs becomes far less impressive. Even against our porous secondary that strikes no fear in any D coordinator. Just because Texan fans have been accustomed to QB play at the level of the likes of David Carr might just be cause for a highly over inflated opinion of his play thus far.
Andre Johnson is another story. Great talent, and when healthy (a not so small consideration), he is about as good as they get in the league.

Now that is downright funny. Aside from your grossly inflated opinion...would you care to explain how such a dominant receivng core could lead to a whopping total of 7 TD passes from your starting QB? Even if you add in the totals for Rosenfels, the TD total only rises to 14.
In comparison, the Browns grossly inferior corp of receivers has led to a total of 20 TD passes for Derek Anderson.

No. We can't. In the history of our franchise, the Texans have had 0 winning quarterbacks (unless someone wants to go check Rosenfels' numbers).
After tomorrow, that number will change to 1. Schaub is, not counting the Tennessee game which he missed most of due to injuries, 4-4 as a starter for the Texans. 5 of those starts, and 4 of those losses, came without Andre Johnson.
Look at games with Andre vs games without. 5 touchdowns... 1 interception. QB rating of over 100 in each.

How does 67.3% completion rate get you in the bottom 1/3 of the leauge? I think you need to research before making these kinds of statements. Also Schaub has missed all or part of three games so on the TD's lets throw in Rosenfels 7 to make a total of 14 passing TD's by the Texans. And the big one, only 14 total sacks against our pourous Oline.

Cleveland get ready to see Dayne again, and again, and again. Kubiak is going to you what he did to the colts. Keep the ball for 40 minutes and establish the run. when you bring 8 in the box dre is going deep. Your offense will get it's points. I like Winslow, Edwards, and Jervius you have a nice receiving core and so do we. You said it though. If it's going to be raining or snowing your high powered offense won't get it done in the air. Our defense will be the difference in this game. As long as we don't turn the ball over. Our schedule this year is brutal, for us to be 500 right now is amazing. We are only going to get better as we get players back. Better be glad you don't play in a real division the AFC South, the only division other than the NFC East with no team with a losing record. Go Texans.

Stats back up statements
Andre Johnson 3 games-20 receptions 382 yards 4 TD's Multiply that by the number of games if he had been healthy= 220 receptions,
4202 yards,44 tds You all are so lucky he has been injured or the Texans would be 9-1 right now.
Andres game average is 6.6 receptions per game,127 yards per game,1.3 TD's a game
---------------------------------------------------------
Kevin Walter-46 receptions,576 yards,1 td
Andre Davis-25 receptions,471 yards,3 td's
Owen Daniels-44 receptions,542 yards
David Anderson,Jacoby Jones, Joel Dressen, plus our full back recievers leech and cook.. we have the BEST rtecieving corps in the league. Without a doubt.
Only walter and daniels have played every game. The rest are just now getting healthy and are yes in my opinion far superior to your guys. You have Edwards and a banged up winslow. We cover edwards and your team is deficient in recieving. I belive winslow is a great player though. No doubt. But other than jurivicious who is mediocre at best you can't believe your recievers are even close to matching up to our guys.
I arrest my case. I agree that edwards has scored a lot of td's. But that is because no one else on your team can catch except winslow. So of course they have to throw to the same guy over and over. But you put those 10 td's of edwards up against andre johnsons totals if he had been playing and you can see we clearly have a big edge even over edwards.
Our passing offense is 6th in the league with all our injured Wide outs. That alone should explain how deep our recieving corps is. Not to mention out starting QB was out for a lot of the time in a couple of games.
We are the best. Once we get our running game solid we are going to be unstoppable. Plus our running game has been doing pretty darn good too lately. This game should be a shootout alright. I expect tyo see your caveman qb throw us 3 int's sunday. You heard it here first!. Prepare to lose cleveland. Bercause you are going to lose this game. This Texans team is a team on a mission. We will not be denied. Sunday, you will see for yourself..and perhaps begin to get a new opinion on who the Texans are now and who they will be from here on out for years to come. Fasten your seal belts because your in for a rough ride sunday!
I will wish your team one thing...and injury free game. We like to compete against the best you've got.

Stats back up statements
Andre Johnson 3 games-20 receptions 382 yards 4 TD's Multiply that by the number of games if he had been healthy= 220 receptions,
4202 yards,44 tds You all are so lucky he has been injured or the Texans would be 9-1 right now.
Andres game average is 6.6 receptions per game,127 yards per game,1.3 TD's a game
psst............ your math would be correct if he had played in only 1 game and had those stats. You multiplied everything by 11.... it should be like 3.3.
He would have ~70 receptions, ~1100 yards and ~13-14 TDs. Impressive nonetheless, but much more realistic.

Wow, AJ was on pace to have over 2000 yds. receiving and 20 TD's.
He does still have the most average yards per game in the NFL. He would be number 1 receiver, assuming his stats would have kept up. If only he had stayed healthy...

Wow! AJ could've played the whole season and had 320 receptions, 6112 yds., and 64 TDs!!! We could've gone 20 and 0! :D
PS-Then in the offseason we'd restructure his contract and pay him $1,140,000,000.01 for 12 years.

This is from Yahoo Fantasy Football predicting Matt Schaub's perfomance this week:
http://sports.yahoo.com/fantasy/nfl/news?slug=be-gmcpow
In his return to the lineup after missing one game with a concussion, Schaub brandished his six-shooter for totals of 293 yards and two scores against the Saints. This week he travels to the daunting Dawg Pound to face a Browns defense that has played like puppies against the pass. Since Week 4, Cleveland has allowed the most fantasy points to quarterbacks, surrendering 289.3 passing yards and 1.7 air scores per game. Heck, the abominable Kyle Boller logged a serviceable 279 yards and a touchdown against them in Week 11. With All-World Andre Johnson undoubtedly healthy – he had 6 catches for 120 yards and touchdown last week – Schaub will post another headline-grabbing performance, totaling 280-300 yards and 2-3 touchdowns.

:eek:Yosarian, Congrats to your Texans on arriving into the NFL....sincerally its only been since 02 and now your team is relevent. Now if your not sure about this you can compare WR vs WR to your blue in the face, but it does not matter because they dont line up against one another. Now that has been established lets talk what really matters the Texans DB's against the Browns WR=17,80,and #84. Go ahead and discount #84. Now since your going to discount him so quickly I will let you see on Sunday who he is. Here is a hint though he has won a Superbowl and played in another who just happens to be the Browns version of Branden Stokley who can lower the shoulder and get the tough yards 1-3rd, so go ahead and count on controlling 17,80 and leaving #84 alone the Browns will thank your Texans later. Now on the other hand the Browns DB's vs DRE, Andre Johnson(former Brown(traded), Jacoby Jones,Kevin Walter and Owen Daniels advantage Texans. See its that simple your WR vs the Browns WR can all make each other secondaries days very long. Now here is the turning point how is your special teams???....because the Browns #16 is having an NFL record breaking, pro-bowl type season. (How about over 300 yards in returns both PR and KR in Baltimore alone??? And another 200 in Pittsburgh yeah the totals would be over 500 yds in 2games glad your impressed anybody should be.) Before we go any further I know more about your Texans then you know about my Browns see I am a native Clevelander that happens to live in Houston so what ever you come up with I already know the relevance to your position. The difference is I have not only a passion for my hometeams but I am a sports fan and watch and study all teams. My Browns are close to being officially back, this game in Cleveland is still not that final step because as much as Texan fans here want to believe your team is being over looked its simply not true and as much as Texan fans dont want to respect a team from Cleveland while having to play in Cleveland listen to your coach he will spell it out for you. So as much as Texan fans feel they DESERVE relevance your coach knows better. This game is going to be an AFC North type game... "smash mouth test your manhood stomp or be stomped type of game" Schaub played in Atlanta(dome) he plays in Reliant(climate controlled), Cleveland is furthest from that (wind, cold and snow along with grass and mud) Your Texans play in the AFC South warm temps clean fields.....but not on Sunday. Texans MUST control the Line on both sides of the ball. Texans MUST force turnovers. Texans must control #16. Texans MUST run the ball to control clock. This is FOOTBALL. AFC North Football no shootout AFC South wannabe SEC/ACC college style football, but Big Ten punch you in the mouth while pushing your face in the mud football. Are you getting the picture now AFC South Homer??? Man-up suit it up and lets CRASH and see who is left standing....So until Sunday......GO Browns07-08!!!!!!!!!!
Hmmmm isnt this the first year you guys have been relevant since coming back to Cleveland? We have been suffering through 5 years at near .500 football (one exception) but you guys have had it extremely rough. How may top 3 picks have you had since the browns came back? Dont get too ahead of yourself, the team and its fans know what it needs to do. This team is rising and not just treading water between head coaches. They play in the AFC south, Last time I checked all teams in AFC south were at or near the .500 level. 2 of houston's losses came at the hands of the AFC south(two of which could have gone either way. The Texans are being built to beat the Colts and the Browns are not the Colts. I am not saying the Texans will win, but I am saying do not take them lightly because they are on a 2 game winning streak and they are motivated to take this team to another level. Wait....... can you hear it.........
Boooooooom Mario Williams just set foot in Cleveland and he is coming to issue in the Brady Quinn era a little earlier than planned.

Just for the record I am not thanking Cleveland fans for screwing beer being served in the 4th quarter. It actually pissed me off, I pay a lot of money for my season tickets and enjoying drinking beer at the game. Most nfl fans can controll themselves while drinking alcoholic beverages at games. That being said you should do a little homework on Schaub, played college ball at Virginia in the elements, cold weather will not affect him. I hope for good weather also so there are no excuses. I can appreciate that you enjoy the elements while watching football, we have daily flights to many cities that offer that option for you. Howeve, I get tired of out of town guests, and you are guests unless you were born and raised here (that includes you cowboy fans). Quit your bit****** about our city and our stadium or take your a*** back where it came from. Now we can talk football. I am looking forward to playing the browns more often. :cool:GO TEXANS, Dayne will hold his own I have no doubt but the questions are for how long and how long is your OL going to hold up. The Browns are prepared for a non schemed defensive rush but a rush predicated on individual effort from your Texan front 4-5. That is a recipe for a long day for your DL. The Browns OL is alot more familiar with stunts and schemes rather then line up and pressure. Who in the NFL pressure through schemes??? Pittsburgh,Baltimore and New England. What does this mean??? Your Texans are going to line up and try to create pressure by shear will and effort. Mario and Omobi are going to work for their paycheck this game and after the interveiw with Omobi saying his "body is tired" on the Texan front page huddle report, as a Texan fan, I would be concerned that your young talented Rookie is really feeling the effects of a NFL season opposed to a College season. Now I know that you attempted to rip on me on the other thread so I am working at giving the power points to why your Texans are in for a "DOG FIGHT"(Pun intended). Now I dont know about you but your #1 Pick Mario has just as many sacks as your #10 pick Omobi(by the way I called it during the draft when Omobi was still on the board at#10 after Miami took High school alum Teddy Ginn jr). The Texans were rumored to want Ginn jr. (Cleveland native and Buckeye native when the Schaub trade was complete so I knew Quinn was not a Texan need). So like I said I know quite more about your Texans because I "care" to want to know. Why??? Because to be truefull, I hope that the whining that Houstonians and your Radio hosts/Sportswriters(Charlie Palilo and the Mr John "the least credible" McClain cry that the Texans are "no good" "Mario is a bust" and "when are the Texans going to the playoffs after all it only took Cleveland 3yrs so why is it taking so long???........ tears. Your Chronicle writer McClain has picked your team 2weeks in a row to lose even when he had the Texans edge in every catagory except 2 against the Raiders on the road, and had the nerve to have the Saints game pretty even at Reliant and still picked the Saints to win. I look at his power ranking weekly because his predictions are just as worthless. Texan fan your hometown has hacks for writers and arrogant outsiders(Charlie Palilo(New York grown and Syracuse educated by the way Charlie how about your #21 ranked Orangeman do against my un-ranked rookie Foucos led Buckeyes Wednesday night???) My point exactly. Your media and fans come from everywhere but Houston or in McCains case the storied SMU(How was that ban for your alma for paying players work out???). So Texan, here are a just a few examples of why Houston is Not a Sports Town with a legitimate image so until your fans and media decide whats important talking trash or looking at the game through a knowledgeable veiw, posts like mine will continue to be mis-understood. The good news is the game is fast approaching so that will mean less of my post up until game time because after it I'll be back over on the Stros boards because at least their board is filled with discussion rather then talk without substance. Here is the breakdown that the Cleveland Plaindealer has given please note that the Cleveland media is giving respect to both DRE, and the Browns receiver and note the edge is primary because the game is a home game nothing else I wouldnt want you and the other confused Texan fans here to think your not getting any RESPECT....sheesh you Texan fans are tough to talk to and reason with !!!:
SCOUTING REPORT

WIDE RECEIVER - Edge: Cle

OFFENSIVE LINE - Edge: Cle

DEFENSIVE LINE - Edge: Hou

LINEBACKER - Edge: Hou

How much will the Browns miss Wright?
SPECIAL TEAMS - Edge: Cle

The CLEVELAND Plains Dealer? There's a legitmately non-homeristic source.
The talking heads all claimed New Orleans Victory last week. They claimed that Carolina and Kansas City would cream us.
The field conditions will be there for both teams. Until your defense can stop anyone, you shouldn't be so cocky about this game. Cleveland puts together a mildly surprising season so far and their fans seem to have forgotten about humility. You'll learn to be humiliated this weekend though.

The Texans and Browns are going to showcase their passing alot more then I thought. Your the first poster that has taken the time to post an intelligent post regarding two fans that support different colors. Your Texan team has every right to believe it can win even in a tough environment. The game may come down to the big plays on Special teams for the Browns and How many turnovers the Texans can get. I like your Texans progress and see them getting to the next level that the Browns finally reached in 01-02. Difference is once the Texans get to that level they should remain there for awhile......So until Sunday....GO Browns07-08!!!!!!!!
No problem. You sound like you know what you are talking about. I think the turnover battle will decide the game. Period. We have lost 4 games because of turnovers. Without them we could be looking at a very nice record indeed.
Echimandu fumbled one last week but i think we are giving the turnover problem a serious look and are correcting the problem. Dayne is no fumbler so as long as we stick to him and Schaub doesn't get too greedy (indy game) he should go without an int. But Schaub is still learning out there even if he looks solid. I put the turnover battle on his shoulders. If he can stay clean and we can stop Jamal,Edwards, and Winslow....it's ours. That's 4 big if's. lol
Anyway..yes i appreciate your posts. Even the long paragraphed ones..lol. I admit i might have done a bit of skimming through one of them. ;)

I thought Houston fans were a classy bunch yet still passionate about their team, like the Browns fans. It seemed this way leading up to the game, but afterwards, now, all I see are Texans fans crying about how they gave us the game, how they lost to mediocre team, how the Browns aren't very good, and how you only lost because AJ wasn't playing 100%, etc.
Give it up. McDonald punked AJ the whole game and made him a non-factor. Winslow, Anderson, Edwards, and Jureviscius stepped up as usual and had a great chemistry going. Jamal Lewis broke out for 134 yards, and we jammed him down your throat because, let's face it, the Texans defense couldn't stop him.
Stop saying you beat yourselves. Cleveland, the superior team, beat you.
Sorry, I registerd JUST to post this because I was so sick of seeing Houston fans trying to cover up and make it sound like you guys were the better team still. You're lucky the Browns even went into prevent defense at the end and let you score that touchdown, if Grantham had any confidence in the Browns defense yesterday (they played a great game) he'd have kept things the way they were instead of relying on prevent.

Lewis ran well b/c we kept turning the ball over and keeping our D on the field. What did you think fans of the other team was going to discuss on THEIR board? How can you come into our house and tell us what you are sick of hearing? There is only one way to not hear it and don't let the door hit you on the way out.
*shrug*
Instead of disputing me, you try to justify it. I guess when you lose, the TRUE fan comes out.
Your logic is so flawed, its like if any team loses it is because they did themselves in, not because the other team outplayed them. Keep living in your little world where the Texans are actually the best team in the NFL and just choose not to play that well in every game.

We looked tentative and not at all aggressive like we needed a win. The Browns and especially Jamal had Texan eating grins on their faces and kept them on all game long. We never seemed to match their intensity.
I was afraid Schaub might let us down with turnovers. This team is simply not good enough to over come a loss in the turnover category. We have to focus on that one issue before we break into any more games. Not sure how to fix it but the ball is a precious thimng and we are not holding on to it.
Turnovers leading to bad field position keeps this team out of the win coloum and as it looks now with this loss..out of the playoffs again. I suppose it is not mathematically impossible yet but we have certainly given our destiny to some other teams win/loss. We have to hope such and such team loses and such and suych team wins and etc etc etc..It would have been so much better to keep the playoffs in our own hands but now it is not so.
Hats off to the Browns. From a team i thought was the worst in the nfl in week 2 , they sure impressed me as being a playoff team. They deserved the win yesterday. It's just that simple. They wanted it more. Sad but i think true.
I still am happy with our guys this year as they have been showing improvement overall. Maybe 1 or 2 more drafts and we can also be back in the driving seat when we get to the next week 12 next year.

Best team in the NFL? Do not put words in my mouth. We had 3 turnovers. 1 was a bad throw by Schaub putting Cleveland d@mn near in the red zone. Yall did play well. You took advantage of situations that we gave you. The thing is you are coming here expecting a big ole "atta boy" and didn't get it. Congrats on your win, but you are not going get a crap load of praise b/c I am not a Cleveland fan.
Why the hell would I want praise from you? All I wanted was admittance that the Browns defeated the Texans, not the Texans "defeated themselves" (worst logic ever). Don't tell me not to put words in your mouth and then do the same thing to me. I never asked for praise. I asked for you to man up and admit your Texans got outplayed and stop acting like they gave the Browns a gift in their win.

P.S. Just thought I would quote this for you since you said that I didn't "man up" I meant this when I said it too. Now shew fly. Go focus on your game next week on YOUR own board.
Oh, don't you worry, I took note of it.
Yet, in your post right above the one I'm quoting here, you basically do say that the Texans "gave" the Browns the game. Talk about inconsistent.
Did you know that turnovers are actually not just caused by a bad throw or judgement on a QB's part but also because an opposing defense causes them by either stripping the ball, maybe getting to a QB as he throws, or because a smart, young rookie corner is basically punking your big star WR all day? Cough, Brandon McDonald was great, cough.
But no, you can't give credit. The Texans just played bad and are the better team, right? Right? If you're gonna say the Browns outplayed the Texans and are the better team, don't go back on it a post later and say the Texans gave them the game.
BTW, missing a field goal means...oh wait...that your kicker didn't step up and do a good job. Just another facet of the game that Cleveland bested you on.
I wouldn't be mocking other teams about scoring points, by the way, seeing as the Browns scored 27 and the Texans scored only 17...and 7 of those were against a PREVENT DEFENSE. lol
The funny thing is your missing the point of me even being in this conversation with you. If you knew me like my fellow people on this board do, then you would know I have no problem eating my crow. I simply quoted you insulting us as fans. I'm not going to congratulate you for anything after you criticzed us as fans. Sorry I don't work that way. Like I said I am done with this. Go read another thread a Brown fan just started and learn how to respect someone elses team on their board. This man is not classful enuff to understand. The boy did not even have a big enuff nut sack to post until the game was over. I believe I hear his momma calling him back inside & telling him he's not old enough to play with the big boys.;)

Sorry then, I was upset. I did not mean to generalize. I am sure you caught my drift, though.
I don't have to respect you on your board if you don't respect Cleveland. Plenty of people come to Cleveland forums and spew trash even if we beat them. If you want to be respected, respect.

Wow, you're mature, I didn't post till the game was over. Good thing
1) I was watching it and
2) I didn't even have an account here.
I had lurked and really admired people's respectful tone to the Cleveland Browns. And then I saw it change for the worse once we beat you. So I posted. Gonna insult me for it? I don't care.

Wow, wait a minute.
That's not how we operate.
Dude, (or chick) I respect your pronounced enthusiasm for our team. We deserve to be proud right now - but this kinda thing is no better than that punch Ngata threw on Thomas last week. We're better than that.
We win or lose with class in the locker room. Let's reflect RAC's philosophy when we're visiting someone else's house as fans.
On a more positive note : Miami's keeping Puke'sburghs offense on idle right now. That could be big for us! Check it out. www.channelsurfing.net

What kind of thing? I think you misinterpret.
All I'm doing is asking for some credit. It really isn't much to ask. We give credit to teams when they outplay us, don't we?

Im with you, we're on the same team. I dont know if we need to ruffle these folks' feathers though. If it was Pittspuke doing it to us on our forum - we might develop some kind of super ISP tracker and find that guy's house with a vengence, lol.
These are proud people - they respect us. Let's return the favor.
And now, Ricky Williams just fumbled away to James Farrior.
Shint.

Maybe I came off too brash then. I wasn't trying to ruffle feathers, just a little irked after losing for so long that we're finally beating teams and still nobody is giving respect. I disagree with your comment on they "respect us a lot", but life is life.
Oh well. I probably shouldn't care. We'll burn the rest of the teams on our schedule and go into the playoffs with the last laugh.

It wouldnt hurt if Miami pulls an upset tonight too.
What do you think our chances of winning the division outright are?
Im thinking pretty good if Pittspuke drops NE and Jacksonville. (I'd love to see Miami get their first win at the Squeelers house though!)

Thank you. I responded to a post of him insulting the fans. Your team has been congratulated on here. Noone ever said we didn't respect Cleveland. I just don't know what a rival fan expects to happen after talking smack about us as fans. Smack talking is fun, but insulting someone personally is a whole different level. You even had a guy on here named QB attack who told a fan he hunts people like him for a living. Threatening the man. C'mon this is a game. So guys excuse me if I seem a little offensive, but you call us classless...You need to check some of your fans too.
I already apologized for jumping to conclusions AND for generalizing- I know not all of you are like that. But you *did* try and make a case for the Texans "giving the game to the Browns", so you are looped in with the people I was speaking against. But hey, like I said, I acted brashly and jumped to conclusions a bit too fast so maybe once again I misunderstood you.
Anyways, we have a decent shot at winning the AFC North since Jacksonville and New England play the Steelers coming up. Miami is holding the Steelers amazingly...but their offense is so sterile it looks like a junior high team vs the Ravens Superbowl D.
So we'll see. We need to beat Arizona next week.

Not at all man - I get it.
Like I said, their in every-single-forum.
S'just crazy. I even had one guy come on our forum a few seasons ago and started quoting Madden stats to prove a point he was trying to make. heh heh.
It's cultural. We're all proud as Americans. We're raised to be proud, I think many of us just arent raised to be able to balance a humble and respectful tact against our pride.
Im sure many of you can relate when I make the remark that I dont require reassurance from other fans to validate my pride in my team. What I'd like to see happen more across the board, is fans take enough of an interest in their teams to literally learn what they're arguing - and then reinforce their argument with educated opinions.
But really, when a guy says "Our team sucks. Kubiak sucks (or insert coach here) or Shaub sucks (insert qb here) they should all be fired and lets rebuild from scratch...." but then dont have the first clue about picking a lane, or reading the hips on a vertical matchup - NEVER even mind the philosophy their team is trying to build - *shrugs his shoulders* I dunno. I never made it through high school, but I like to think that Im smart enough to want to NOT be caught arguing something Im not familiar with, ya know?
S'crazy. There's pride, theres people, there's opponents - and then....there's stupid people.
heh heh.

Sorry to disappoint you, but we won. Just remember we own any tiebreaker against you...(and yes, I'm a Texans fan too, the Texans are my #2 team)
