No doubt McNair has made some mistakes but from what I can see, we are a much improved team from two years ago and still have a possibility of finishing the season with the best record in franchise history. We've improved since last year and are very young, especially on defense. I'm not sure what your expectations are, but 8-8 was the popular vote during the preseason for our record. I guess my biggest gripe about all this is why "fire" McNair now when we're improving?

I don't know about firing McNair but I do believe that his being a new owner of an NFL team shows. He's made his share of mistakes and then some. He's undoubtedly a smart man and will learn from his mistakes. But, in the end, he is as much to blame as anyone for the mess we find ourselves in to this point in franchise history.

We have some of the DUMBEST fans ever. I love how everyone things that we are suppose to go from ZERO to HERO in a year or two. If anyone hasnt realized it yet, We started over this year. This is like year one for us and its going to be next year at the earliest that we make the playoffs. This year is great and all but we are not ready. BE FREAKIN PATIENT and STOP CRYING. We've waited this long, so whats another year or two to get it right.

What about Daunte Robinson? He can hit cant he? I dont think we need the bad wrap players on our team for us to lay some hits on some people. This post is the most redicoulus thing I have ever read. Make some sacrafices to get a player, is that you Buccanan? Man grow some balls yourself and be greatfull that we have players that are nationally getting recongnized for the good things they do and not the bad.
The only thought that came to my mind while reading this thread is that within a generation or so, it's quite possible that we will be nothing more than a source of cheap labor for developing countries with strong economies.

Just out of curiosity, why do these people start a thread like this and then no response? Do they post and sit back to see the responses they get? I don't want to fall victim to the poke the monkey with a stick and watch him dance.;)Really can't answer that. I will say this though I have really had a good time poking back at these posters. After the loss I decided foolish posters were not going to get my goat. Thus I turned it around & have been having fun at their expense.;)

u ****ed monkeys, i was only playing around, whats with the lack of humor in this board? if you guys thought this thread was a serious one, than ya'll are dumber than i thought, and therefore, should not be talking about a lack of education. lol. i enjoyed the post responses though, very amusing. but to get to the point, the reason i bring up this "fiyaaaaaaaaa" i speak of, is because for the first time in late November the Texans played a game that if we would have won, we would be going into the Titans game with a leg up in the wild card race. and then we lost. to. the. cleveland. browns. lmao. yes, theyre much improved, but that was the best the texans could do in the an important game late in the season??? it sickens me. and the thing is, theres no one in the locker room gettin rowdy (real rowdy like warren sapp or john henderson), to fire up the team before a game like this. even during the game, the body language when they went down was so lackadaisical, they had no fight in them. lol the best was when i dont know who it was but a texans special teamer helped a brown playeer up after he went down LOLOLOLOL. funny stuff... and this is a team trying to go to the playoffs. hah. i love my texans, no DOUBT, but this next offseason we need to get some meanies on our team, no more softies, no more explaining how tough it was to endur a loss, no more explaining week in and week out why the reason they lost was becuause of TO's, get some freakin players that can hold onto the ****ed ball. owen daniels needs to be benched for a half or so, let dreesen in there for a half, teach daniels a lesson, do something to fix this problem. daniels almost cost us the carolina game, and he lost this past game for us. and ron dayne? starting rb? wow. wow. wow. w. o. w. plz draft a rb, marshawn lynch woulda been nice he has that fiyaaaaaa jus picture the texans after a win against the browns and WHAMMM = http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UqMsT_2teus
go texans.

and for those optimists in here, hoping and praying won't do you any good, until you face reality and truly expect to win, can you actually win. look at all the super bowl teams, they had that swagger, that confidence, where is it on the texans. i'm not even satisfied with them making the playoffs. i expected and had confidence that the texans would win the super bowl this season, its too bad the team didn't feel the same. all offseason kubiak talked about how "we're still a couple years away" .. what kind of team thinking is that gonna instill in the players?? its not that hard, expect to win, go out play hard, execute, no talking about next season or how were not there yet, jus go out with the group ya got and draw up some amazing plays. bada boom bada bing = Win. look at the saints last year, rams in 99, patriots when all were expected to have horrible seasons, they came out and won it all. who says the texans can't do the same? come back next season and come out with that attitude, and i promise you, we will make the playoffs.
diddykong466

lol i cant picture kubiak saying these things, listen carefully to everyword, this is the attitude that i want the texans to have

I have to agree that we have a softee bunch of guys on defense...I mean did you see the defense helping the Cleveland guys up off the ground Sunday?! It made my stomach turn! I do want some hard-nosed, cutthroat guys with some swagger.
HOWEVER,
They make those guys in the high character models too y'know (i.e. Brian Dawkins, DeMeco, John Lynch, Aaron Kampman, the list goes on and on).

Mr. McNair needs to be bolder and take some additional risks with his football team. He does not need to trade 2nd round draft picks in order to acquire Matt Schaub. He needs to take risks on criminals (convicted or accused) or players who commit personal fouls every game. We need players that have intense actions on the field. Please do not tell me that CC Brown or Will Demps can tackle very hard. I would like a player that can render an opposing player unconscience, intentionally injure a player or can create a fumble with his tackling. Our opponents attitude toward our team is not very good. They smile at us because they think that our players cannot tackle with aggression. Will you please try to bring in an intense player that is aggressive on the playing field. ********. If you cannot do that, then please use the draft in order to accomplish this task. I say this because the current defensive backs (safeties) need some aggression training. In conclusion, if we cannot accomplish what is stated above, we will not progress this year in our NFL season. Please have a good day.

theres no one in the locker room gettin rowdy (real rowdy like warren sapp or john henderson.
This year, the only time these two have been "real rowdy" is at CiCi's buffet.
2007 Statistics
Warren Sapp 30 tackles 2 sacks
John Henderson 23 tackles 1 sack
Even though 30 tackles is decent this time of year for an interior lineman, it is by no means "real rowdy"

their stats dont look quite impressive but i'm not talkin about that, im talkin about what they bring to the team in terms of intensity and aggression, that extra "fiya" that is necessary to bring out the best in their teammates. look at what sapp has done for the defense although he's not solely responsible for the turnaround, he has contributed alot just last season they were 2nd overall D. after sapp left the bucs, the bucs D hasn;t really been the same. John Henderson has been a hugggge player for the jags, need i mention how great the jags D has been for the past 4 or 5 seasons?
