I wonder why Pitts took off after a police officer pulled him over, if the story is true? That would not be a smart thing to do.

Maybe... they were letting him go with a warning... but then the HPD officer, who is a Texans fan by the way, realized it was THE Chester Pitts and decided to pull him over a second time and take him in for causing Houston so many penalty yards. LoL

It just came out on channel 13. I caught the tail end of it. They will be talking about it more on sports tonight.

Well that's just great. We don't have a lot of depth at the OLine, even if he hadn't been playing so well.

Chester's just speeding up the process of us moving toward the future with this team of ours. Hello Kasey Studdard! The Texans would never put a player that's been arrested on the field, right?

This is from

Talking to Kubes about the game against the Titans this week:
"It will take Fred (Weary) and Chester (Pitts) to be on top of their game for us to have a chance to be successful," Kubiak said.
So do we just replace Pitts' name with Studdard or start panicking?

He probably thought they were going to taze him and he panicked.

Does anyone know what really happened? Why he he drive off and evade the cop? Obviously I know what might be the obvious reason, but has anyone said? And was the obvious reason the problem? I can't imagine why he would be that stupid. I kow he couldn't have EVER thought that HPD would just let it go. Geesh!!!
I will be really disappointed if he does not have a good reason, even though I can't imagine what would be a good excuse for evading a cop.

HPD had a line of people pulled over and Chester is a big guy. He was hungry and couldn't wait any longer to eat....now what's wrong with that.

I just read and listened to that link. SOunds like he drove off before t hey could give him a ticket. That is plain idiocy. Now, if he had already been given the ticket, it might be different. Hope he has some kind of excuse worked up. I hate things that make no sense.

Probably just another case of panicing like lance briggs and his lambo. He wrecked it, called reported it stolen then called back and said he was driving. he probably just paniced and ran.

Here is what Steph (Texans_Chick (http://boards.houstontexans.com/member.php?do=getinfo&u=251))wrote in her AOL fanhouse blog (http://sports.aol.com/fanhouse/2007/11/30/texan-chester-pitts-arrested-for-fleeing-to-avoid-a-traffic-tick/). She's a lawyer and does this blog in her spare time. She had some great pieces written when Weary was tasered.

I heard that Chester Pitts was in the rush to see the Cowboys game last night. He also mention that Texans need to play like Cowboys, the Americans Team.
Pitts later apologize to the officer stating, "I'm sorry I lend you on that brief chase, but let's face it. Who don't want to rush home to see Cowboys and Packers game?" Later that night Pitts was released on bail.

I think that Chester saw the cop move to the next guy and maybe he thought that he could turn the corner and the cop might not see him.Either way,he obviously should have stayed.Cops around this way dont let ****** go.It doesn't matter that he was black,It matters that he was in Texas.
