next 2 games against indy and jax...indy's starting LT, tony ugoh is a rookie coming off an injury from about a month ago. last week was his first game back from injury i believe. khalif barnes is a young LT for jax, drafted in 2005. mario has a very real chance of getting to 16 sacks.

Who are the RTs on these teams? That's probably the better indication of what kind of games Mario will have IMO. If the Texans had allowed Mario to rush every down from LDE this year, he'd probably have 18 sacks already.

I was thinking the same myself,I thought 13 sacks are nice but if he can get to 16 or higher thats upper echelon. This is no way to be misconstrued as negative,if he finishes with 13 ill be happy

Mario was shot out of a cannon after the bye week. He's red hot right now. Just a few weeks ago we were speculating that it would be a stretch if he got double digit sacks this season and now he's only .5 away from leading the entire league.

You hear people say "the light came on".....well his is a freakin spotlight.

Shouldn't the title on this thread be 16 sacks AND bust the opposing QB?

A-FREAKIN-MEN to that brotha!

I'm so happy Mario is shutting up all the critics left and right. Who cares about "Offensive star-power" when you have a mack-truck heading 100 miles and hour at the QB.

cheers mario....i toast you with my hardiest of wines.

The Colts will lock up the #2 seed this week and when the Texans will play the Colts, Peyton will for sure get limited action. Jim Sorgi is very sackable.

I was thinking the same thing. The Colts should be able to handle the Raiders pretty easily unless they have a major brain fart. As much as I'd like us to beat them at full strength I'll take what we get. If they rest some starters then our chances improve dramatically. I expect Mario to come out with the same intensity, especially after 10 days rest and extra preparation. If everything goes our way he could be the NFL's sack leader after next week......how freakin cool is that??

I know the record is held by Michael Strahan and I believe it's 22.5 sacks.
