Just wanted to remind everyone that the only person who backed us up after the 06 Draft was Michael A Smith. Everyone needs to remember that.

Yea you guys are right he was the only one who actually agreed with us picking Mario Williams i know he has a smile and a frown on his face, a smile for knowing that he was right all along and a frown because none of the other analyst actually want to say picking him was the smart choice but hey i never agreed with what many analyst had to say anyway

Bill Parcells also said he would've taken Mario. Parcells is/was totally enamored with Mario's talent and consistently refers to Reggie Bush as a specialty player.

I am not cowgirl fan but if I remember correctly, Gil Brandt was saying we made the right pick as well. But, you are right.Michael A Smith has been saying we made the right pick over and over.
Go Texans!!

This should be stapled to the forehead of every Titanic naysayer around.

Mario was not a stretch at #1 by any means, but the foolishly premature posturing by most of the self-anointed draft experts makes Mr. Michael Smith look like a freakin' genius. Read it, it's astoundingly prescient.

I remember reading that article, and now it is so profound. Thanks for digging that up, that without question is one of the most intelligent articles I have ever read.

Everything the man wrote is panning out from the mans extensive reach, which he used to get to Cutler on one play to the part about maybe you have already seen the best of Bush(college days). That was a very nice splash from the past.

Didn't Billy B of the Pats say we should have taken Mario. If I remember correctly after the loss last season he sought him out after the game to shake his hand. Or was that Parcells too, I can't remember.
