It will be hard. We need to win our next two games and Cleveland needs to lose their next 2

There have been a couple of threads about this... search next time ;)
To save you the trouble:
We have to win the next two.
Browns have to lose the next three.
Bill have to beat the Browns next week, then lose the two after.
Titans have to lose two of out of the last three.
Yeah that's pretty much it. Basically the Bills have to be up late in the fourth quarter when Lee Evans catches a pass and runs in to an unaware Derek Anderson on the sideline, somehow taking them both out of their last two games.

Basically, we win out and see what happens with all the other teams. We have to hope for Cleveland and Tennessee losses, for the most part. Buffalo needs to beat Cleveland and lose in week 17.
So...
We basically have to win out and pray.

Our playoff chances are slim-to-none, but since it's a slow Saturday I'll play along...
The hardest part, IMO, will be winning out against the Colts on the road and the Jags at home.
The Bills will have a tough time beating the Browns in the Dog Pound, but if they do I can see the Browns losing out @ Cincy and at home to San Fr....er, never mind.
Playoffs in '08! Go Texans!

Realistically, our "playoffs" are right now and our "superbowl championship for 2007" should be thought of as a 9-7 season. If we can achieve that, we will have gone 6-2 in the second half of the season and achieved our first winning season while overcoming a number of injuries.
I'll still hope for that magic combination of losses by other teams that will enable us to get into the playoffs, but if we can finish 9-7 or even 8-8, I'll consider this season a success.

Our best hope is for a 9-7 season even though that is unlikely. Getting to the playoffs next year is much more likely.

Just enjoy the last two games. Cause the Browns aren't dropping 3 in a row.
Next year we're going to be healthy, we can draft a RB, a CB and an offensive linemen.
We'll also have be like 40 million under the cap with all the key players in tact.

How much the loss to the Browns and that comeback over our come back stings right now. And that **** Atlanta game. I'm still going to ride the hope train until the end, but it's going to take a lot for us to get in.
Hopefully next year will be the Texans year. It would be huge to finish at least .500 or above this year. It would also be horrible if we finish 9-7 and still finish last in the division. That would hurt.

We still have a chance. Now it is a 0.6% chance but that is good enough for me this year! :D

We don't worry about it. Like they have been saying one game at a time if they don't make it oh well they have learned how to play through injuries and when they are short on talent they still keep fighting to win. If they make it it will be a great turn around and if they don't oh well they fought hard to get were they are and next year with the way these guys draft and some cash for free agents I do not see no reason why they can't make it next year at lease. The futrue looks brite.

That would put them at 9-7 tied with us in record (if we win out) and head to head 1-1 and we would both be 2-4 in the division, who would win the next tie breaker. Go Steelers today, Raiders next week (Jamarcus Russel might have a game) and then GO TEXANS three losses, no that impossible.

The next tiebreaker for divisional opponents is the best win/loss percentage among common games. Just as a quick glance through, it looks like they won 1 more game among our common opponents than we did. Outside our division we both played:
Atlanta (we lost, Jax won)
Denver (both won)
KC (both won)
Tampa Bay (both won)
New Orleans (we won, Jax lost)
San Diego (we lost, Jax won)
Carolina (both won)
So yeah, they barely have a better percentage. Jacksonville is, sadly, out of reach for us.
GO BUFFALO

Not looking good for the Texans. The Browns are going to win their game against Buffalo today and the Titans look like they are going to beat the Chiefs.

Browns win 8-0 in the Blizzard Bowl :(
&
The Tacks beat the Chefs 26-17 :P
It's official, the Texans miss out on the Wild card race in '07...
Well it was awesome to be rooting against teams like Cleveland in Dec. anyway!! Next year we're playoff bound for sure...
I mean we cant be the most injured team in the NFL three years running can we? i think our training staff needs to be improved or something...
GO TEXANS!!!
I still believe in 9-7 in '07!!!
