I know everyone thinks that Mario is the most improved and don't get me wrong I think he's shut alot of critics up but I think that the player that doesn't get talked about alot for his play (except one occasion, Trent Green) is Travis Johnson. Maybe with Amobi beside him he got a few less double teams but he has been running to the ball and really helping make this a solid defense.

Biggest surprise to me is Fred Bennett and Will Demps. Those guys are stepping up big. As far as most improved it is definitely Mario, TJ just needed a boot up his arse. Guess he just needed a kick start. He has played better.

My biggest surprise has been K.Walters. I can't lie, i was alil skeptical bout him being the #2 WR. He really stepped up this year & solidified his position on this team. I can see why Kubes compared him to Ed McCaffery(sp?). This guy is reliable & will give you everything he has & you gotta respect that. I luv'd the move he made on the NFL's best shut-down corner(supposedly) Bailey on that 3rd & 3. How Sweet it is to be a TEXAN!!!

Without a doubt... Andre Davis. When we cut Keenan and Bethal i was cursing kubes to heck, but boy was i wrong...

[QUOTE=Neocon;79528]I look forward to seeing Will Demps and Michael Boulware all healed up after training camp next season...they could very well become quite the suprising duo....

I'm not so sure bout Boulware. He just have'nt done anything to stand out from the rest of the SS's. He was here before Demps & can't seem to grasp what's going on. The few times I have seen him playing, he didn't look to impressive. Plus you have to throw in the fact that CC is playing some consistent ball this year. As far as Demps, this guy is a keeper.

I hear you on that. He's definetly played like a 1st rounder. He really should only be in his second year too. This a very young line and we are going to have to go through these things. I remember how we all were considering him as good as gone, and Kubiak was calling him out on the radio. He has responded and is playing with the intensity alot of us have waited for. When he was celebrating with MW on Thursday, I couldn't help but remember how he was so grateful to Rick Smith and Bob Mcnair for him even being there when he recorded an interception.

For me the un sung heros have been Walters and Greenwood.

Of course with all our injuries this year, a whole lot of players have really stepped up and pitched in with great performances. Too many to mention.

gotta be andre davis. at least the other players named were with the team for awhile prior to training camp, except for demps who i think would be a close 2nd place.

My top 10:
1. Bennett (leads team in Interceptions)
2. Andre Davis (Burner kick-returner part 2)
3. Mario (no explanation needed)
4. Sage (why wasn't he starting over Carr?)
5. KW
6. Will Demps
7. Jamar Fletcher
8. Darius Walker (how many times did we cut him?)
9. Charlie Anderson
10. TJ (finally playing like a first rounder)

I remember when I was freaking out when we lost not 1 but 2 SS to start the season... and now look at us, we have the longest IR and we are still winning!

On the bright side, we can definitely deal with injuries... on the down side, we really need to stop having those injuries, so we won't have do deal with them!

One thing that I hate more than losing, or making a bad trade (P-burnt) is the off-season... no football for 6 months, I am going into a coma! Bring me out around April (for the Draft) and then it starts getting warm, so I will be good until August!

Just goes to show you, from High School to the Pros, you are only as good as your scout team. No matter how you slice it, it takes 11 doing their jobs on each snap and everything falls into place.

Our team from Executive Suite to the laundry is just a much better unit than it was when we were 7-9 a few years back. It has been frustrating but fun to watch, and only makes the milstones that much more rewarding.

Sage Rosenfels. I hope that he plays the final two games in their entirety.

I agree with Bennett, just because he is a rookie but I thought it would take him longer to be a very good corner. Demps isn't a surprise, he just needed a shot because he was "injury prone" or atleast that's what the Giants and Ravens say. Hopefully we can sign him for a big contract with our 40+ million availible.
