I can't believe mario didn't make it. Demeco did but i'm shocked that the other players around the nfl didn't believe mario deserved to go.

From what everyone was saying leading up to this most of the votes were in before the Denver game. That was a breakout game for him and I'm sure there are some that would vote otherwise if they had seen that game first.

Breakout or not he was still 2nd in sacks! He deserves to be a pro-bowler.

Someone will drop out and Mario will play. On the flip side, Demeco will drop out so someone else will play. It definitely hurt Mario that his big games have come so late in the season.

I don't see why in the HELL jason taylor was selected when he plays for a 1-13 team. Give it to a guy that has stood out and is not just a big name on a terrible team.

Why can't Pro Bowl voting end after week 17? Like it is really hard to get a bunch of rich football players to Hawaii on only a months notice.

Not suprised and honestly dont have a huge problem with Allen, Vanden Bosch and Taylor making it because Mario's best game came as of late and Allen and Vanden Bosch have been consistent all year along...Taylor is the one I would be iffy about but he has had a great season for a bad team and it was a respect thing, he will drop out and Mario will go....no sweat!!!

I am not surprised. The Texans are a mid market team, and will only get exposure if they win, and are on prime time games. So this year 250 less people will watch the pro bowl, that means that 700 will watch it. It is a farce game and be honest, if 3 Texans made the team and actually played, y'all be doing honeydoos in mid-february anyway since you blew them off for 6 months. We know what we got here, lets continue to keep it our secret.

How does the All Pro process work? Can a player not named to the Pro Bowl become an All-Pro? If Mario turns up the heat for the next two weeks and ends up leading the entire league in sacks, how can they deny him?

If Kubes is doing his job, that will be the worst kept secret in the NFL. When Peyton Manning picks himself up off the ground for the 5th time on Sunday, it's no secret anymore!

This is a travesty. At least Vince and Reggie missed out as well.

You are correct that the fan voting was over prior to the Denver game, but it has been said on many local and national shows that the players and coaches mostly voted before Thursday's game. Do you think they are going to wait for all of the week's games to be played so they can look at the stat lines and watch the games they can to make a decision. No they won't, they are worrying about their own games and game plans for the weekend, not who they are going to vote to the pro bowl.

I can't tell you the real reason they are going to say.
He is not in a big team media market and he is on a Houston team.

I can understand being upset that Mario didn't get picked, but take a look at Taylor's stats. It's not like Jason Taylor is playing crappy this year. Both Taylor and Mario are having pretty good seasons.
Mario: 53 tackles, 27 solo. 13 sacks, 2 FF, 1 TD
Taylor: 48 tackles, 41 solo. 10 sacks, 4 FF, 1 int, 1 td.
Sucks that Mario didn't make it, but I don't think selecting Taylor was that bad of a pick. He is on a 1-13 team, but he is still having a great season.

I nominate this post as the DUMB POST OF THE MONTH!
There are plenty of understandable reasons why he wasn't included, mainly based around the timing of the vote and the fan vote which started well before Mario accumulated his sacks.
Such a crybaby. Mario is getting all the press all the time right now and is getting the 'making Reggie look overrated' comments from every reporter now that he has started to produce the stat line that everyone has wanted to see.
It's like you expect the media world to drop to their knees and ...

Don't the coaches select a few players as well? Or is that baseball?

I heard that he is a reserve this year... maybe, if kyle blah blah bosh breaks him leg or if his red contacts get infected... than just maybe we will see mario there;););)

I'm not sure how it works (because I really don't watch the Pro Bowl much) but I think both coaches can pick a "need" player that wasn't on the original list.
