Forget the Probowl, last week and the "quarterback controversy". That are our chances of beating the Colts?

This game seems to be a toss up right now.I would like to thank our starters could beat theirs, but I'm not to sure of this right now.Upside Andre will be back for this one.Secondary played well against Cutler but he is no Manning.Mario & the D-line need to have a good game. Now if they play subs I feel we win this game hands down.

We have AJ this game.
No Schaub, but we have Sage. They two run this offense almost identical, so we should be fine in the passing game.
Dunta's gone, but Peyton will probably torch us anyway unless...
The D-line is dominant. They should be, Ugoh is gone. Rich Smith better not get scared of Peyton burning our secondary, b/c he's probably gonna do it anyway, so we might as well blitz. Special teams looks to be back to their early season form, so expect a long return or 2. JJ needs to get his stuff together.
We're missing alot on the O-line, but their D-line is made up of UDFA and a 7th rounder. I would like to think we can hold against that.
Oh yea, Demeco got the P-bowl, so he should be fired up. Mario got snubbed, so he should also be fired up.
I've been sipping the kool-aid, so I'm predicting a Deep Steel Blue Beatdown.

We must pressure Manning, we CANNOT turn the ball over, and we need to create turnovers. When we win we are getting penetration in the backfield, and we are holding onto the football. If we can force Manning out of the pocket we will be successful on Defense; our secondary work will fall into place if we can keep constant pressure on him. On offense, ball control, we need to play time of possession, obviously so we keep the ball out of his hands. We are really gonna need the run to setup the pass in this game. Lets hope our O-line can create some holes and protect Sage. We do all this and we have a shot, oh and if Manning goes off, we need our O to match them stride for stride which will be really, really tough.

I just hope our coaches didn't get a false sense of security w/ the run game last week and revert back to the run to open up the passing game. We shall see.

If our entire D-line is out, like it was in the Raiders game... running the ball down our throats probably isn't a bad strategy to use.

All depends on which TEXAN team shows up to play. The RCA dome is a tough venue, and the Colts fans are LOUD! Not sure how Sage can handle that, he just might get rattled and toss a few to the wrong player! He's pretty good at that even when it's NOT loud! JMO here, but, I think if we stand a chance in hell of winning this game, it will have to be like the Steeler game a few years back, our D will have to do it for us.

Nice to see you again CA....How do you think this game will play out with the injuries the Colts have right now?

I can not believe I am going to miss it. I am flying up to my mom's in Penn on Sunday for christmas. Who booked these tickets anyways, oh yeah I did before the season.... dang. I am so bent... I saved 500 dollars but I would love to see the Texans make franchise history. All I can hope for is my brother records it for me on his tivo.

I really think the Colts have stepped off the peddle and while they will start a few guys I really think there going to start to see how some things work out but I doubt there going to show to much. The Texans are HOT and motivated right now, our secondary given up huge plays up the middle worry me with Dallas Clark , if he even plays. I think we have a great chance to win but still need to bring there A game. I really think if we win Sunday we will win vs the Jags the following week!!

Hey Doug! How are you?

I honestly don't know how this game will play out. I know Peyton is playing... but I don't know how long. Tony says we aren't resting guys, but what does that mean? I never know with Tony what is between the lines of what he says.

We have alot of injuries up front on D right now, so I am guessing these guys will get limited time if any. Joe is really banged up right now, so I am guessing he gets limited time. KK (our back RB) can't catch a cold, much less a ball... so if he is in there and the pass rush is coming... I don't know who Peyton will check down to.

First time in a long time I don't know how it will pan out. When we played earlier in the year, I would have not been shocked had you all won. I really won't be shocked if you all win now. Wish I had better insight for ya...

The game plan agains the Colts does not change.....controll the clock and keep their offense on the sideline as much as possible. When Manning is in we will need to keep the pressure turned up and get in his face. He has proven to get rattled (although not much) when the pocket collapses and he is getting hit repeatedly. I expect to see Mario lined up at LE more this game since that is his best position and a weak spot on the Colts line. Addai hasn't been quite as effective lately so hopefully we can contain him and force their offense to be one dimensional.

On offense we'll likely see a heavy dose of Ron Dayne in this game to move the ball on the ground and chew up the clock. He has proven to get better as the season goes on and has really been on a roll lately. He was a big factor in the win against them last year so I would expect him to be productive again this Sunday.

Ultimately it always comes down to turnovers for us. I think we've proven that we can beat most teams when we protect the ball. If we cough it up and give Manning a short field he's going to kill us.

They only beat us by 6 last time and we were without AJ. I have to think our chances are good with a healthy AJ, productive running game, a pissed off Mario, a 10 day rest, and lots of momentum. It'll be close but I think we can take em.

I'm doing well. I completely understand what you're saying. Regardless of who is playing for the Colts I would really like to see the same Texans team this week that has shown up for us the past two weeks. It will make for a very interesting game and I can definitely see us taking this one. IMO, I'd like to see any healthy starters the Colts have playing the whole game.... I wouldn't care too much for us winning this game (if we win) due to you guys sitting players. It would be nice to have our most wins in a season by doing it fair and square if you know what I mean.

Out of the entire context of the conversation that's what you cherry picked to respond to??

I very seldome post but i had to reply to mr revisionist history, you won by six points playing an almost perfect game, your team didnt look to me to have gone into a prevent offense,we were without our stud and gave you the ball twice.this was a close game so dont make it sound as if you dominated.take one of those t/o's away and we win,and if we keep the t/o's even this week we,ll win.

Heres to an injury free game & good luck in the playoffs. :)

Well, as far as I am concerned... if you all win, no matter the circumstances... its a win and its fair and square.

Tony says we aren't resting starters. Now, with that said... I don't know what that means exactly. LOL I know Peyton is playing, but I don't know how long. If its up to him, he will be in all game. The guys that are injured, I would like to see them sit this one out to heal up a bit. I actually am pretty interested in seeing some of our backups some more. Last years injuries and getting our backups some playing time... really paid dividends for us in the postseason. I am anxiously awaiting for us to get our running game back in the swing of things as well. Our O-line really needs to step up this week and get that back AND keep Peyton from eating turf all game.

We shall see. Either way though... it should be a fun and interesting game. I won't be at this one, as my daughter has knee surgery on Friday... but I will be yelling from my couch. ;)

Thanks! We are going to need it. Its pretty fluid this year with some of these teams. You don't quite know what to expect from some of them.

Well, allow me to respond tho this garbage.

I have the game on DVR right here. If you ever watch the Colts play, and the strategy of Tony Dungy you will see whenever he has a 14 point lead in the 4th quarter he will drop back into a SOFT Deep Cover 2, even Cover 3. He is like 72-1 when he has a 14 point lead.

Watch the first game and you will see Sanders and Bethea, even Jackson as a third safety playing way off the ball. This is what always happens when the Colts get a 2 score lead in the 4th.

As for the offense. The Colts ran the ball over and over again in the 4th. If you think that that is normal than you have no ckue about the way the Colts play offense.

But, yeah, the Colts didn't go into a soft zone read, and the offense didn't waste clock, even though that is exactly what Dungy said following the game.

You're right, you were just waiting for your time to strike by spotting a 17 point 4th quarter lead to the World Champs. That is what playoff teams do, right? You lost, give it up.
