Yahoo Sports has at #14..pretty much right outside the playoff group of course...However it is meantion we will have a last place schedule next year, I never thought of that. With that said I know will play the Colts, Titans and Jags twice and the NFC north which should be pretty strong but not great. That means 6 more games against the AFC weaker teams. I say Jets, Ravens, Bengals and probably Miami again...I say well have an excellent chance at a 10-6 or 11-5 record with a good offseason and good draft.

You can't look at the schedule and always assume that the weaker teams this year are going to be weaker teams next year
Judging by last year's teams and this year's schedules the Broncos game looked like a tough one to win, the Bucs looked like a definite win, and the Falcons and Dolphins were supposed to be a little better than they have been.

We may get 8 wins this year. had we not had the ijury bug we would of gotten 8 or 9. So, I would say that a 10 win year next season is reachable if we fill afew holes and get players that are hurt(D-Rob is huge) back.

Our opponents in 2008:
AFC South:
Colts x 2
Titans x 2
Jaguars x 2
NFC North:
Packers
Lions
Vikings
Bears
AFC North:
Bengals
Steelers
Browns
Ravens
We will have two games that strength of schedule will determine every year, as we rotate divisions based upon realignment.
"Last place schedule" only affects two games.
If the Texans remain in 4th in the AFCS, they will play the Dolphins and either the Chiefs or Raiders. If they climb into 3rd somehow, they will play the Jets and either the Chiefs or Raiders.
The Texans had 'last place schedule' this year too, and they went 1-1 against their intraconference position based opponents (Cleve and Miami).
I wouldn't get all giddy over 'last place schedule,' because team strength can change so much from year to year but if you get it, you need to take advantage of it.

I'm not too worried about that NFC North and even the AFC North....that AFC South schedule, as always, is the toughest. Can't wait to see how the offseason shakes out so we have a better idea of what to expect.
