I used to not like Sean Salisbury. i thought he was one of those band wagoners who just repeated what all of the other talking heads said..... and i was right, b/c today i heard him saying that Mario was his pick for biggest pro-bowl snub. But, ive found it in my heart to forgive my dislike, b/c now i just feel that atleast he says what he feels, even if it is what every one else thinks. he says it with passion and believes it. that is more than some of them can say. i could tell before that he REALLY though Mario was the wrong choice and he Really thought Bush/Young were the real deal. And today i felt like he REALLY meant that he thought Mario was snubbed.
I still kinda dislike him because he spells his name wrong (its SHAWN....like mine..not sean) but otherwise i dont let him bother me.

It's surprising in itself that Sean Salisbury is smart enough to grow his own hair out, let alone form a meaningful opinion on any sport. The less I hear about Sean Salisbury the happier I am. Him, Skip Bayless, Chronicle Sportswriters, and Jason Whitlock could all disappear forever, and I would not be the least bit sad or worried (Also, throw in Bill Simmons in there for good measure).

My thoughts exactly. They are all blowhards. At least Salisbury played the game though, and I feel like he always said what he was thinking/feeling and not regurgitating something someone else said. Some of the stuff he says I can agree with, but for the most part, I think he's an annoying DBAG like the rest of the ESPN guys (minus Berman and TJ)
Schlereth is the worst though, he can't say coach, field, team, etc...without putting the word foot in front of it. I guess he feels like because he says "football field" or "football team" every single time it means he knows more a lot about football.

it was on cold hard fact on sports center. he and and ESPN's head sports writer (cant remember his name other than John something, but he looks like Mr. Mackey from south park).
I always say that about "Shawn" is the "right" way to spell it, in a joking way b/c there are so many ways to spell it. Unfortunately i accidentally said it in front of a guy with his young son present and the kids name was Sean. He wasnt happy that i was implying that he had misspelled his kids name (even though i wasnt even talking to him). idk but he was a firefighter and i though he was gonna lay me out.

You would be referring to another shallow blow hard from BSPN named John Clayton. mmmmkay?

Did you see when they did the 4 downs segment, and Salisbury even forgot what they were talking about? John Clayton kept making faces because he was amazed at how Sean was making the same argument he was.

Actually you spell it wrong, Sean is the Irish Gaelic form of John. And no offense but Shawn is usually how girls spell it. (really)

The only guy I take serious on there is Burman, you can tell he loves the Giants and he lets you know it..
Actually I've grown up watching him and his love for The Buc's. He always picks them and then shows himself going out for a pass from Doug Williams.

In 2005 sometime near the end of the season, the Washington Redskins needed to win out so that they could make the playoffs. Sean being the genius he is, said that if the Redskins make the playoffs, he would walk from Bristol (ESPN Headquarters) to DC. Needless to say, Washington won it's last 5 games and sneaked into the final playoff spot. It's still pretty funny because Redskin fans will always bring it up to this day and he completely ignores it.
