View Full Version : Pac man to be released
I was just watching ESPN** cough** Super Bowl coverage and they are reporting that the Titans will look to trade or cut pac man when he is reinstated to the NFL.The misdeanor charge was dropped but the league said no to an immediate reinstatement of pac, but they do believe he will be allowed to play again within a few months.Just found this interesting and thought I would pass this on.

Wow. Too bad the character issue is going to keep us from getting him. He easily would be a starter over here. I sure do wish Tenn would let go of the kid they got now. Don't remember the name (think it is Flannigan) but he played his heart out against SD.
I bet Dallas picks up the Pacman. You know JJ is chomping at the bit.Either him or Al Davis. ;)
Wouldnt surprise me. But hey if no one picks him up then he could pursue his career in wrasslin'.:DLMAO His wrasslin' career along with being a pimp daddy, after all he does know how to handle a pole dancer!

Jerry Jones the egomaniac would jump at trying to sign Pac....I believe every player/person deserves a second chance but Pac has to show alot more maturity and personal responsibility

I bet Dallas picks up the Pacman.
He has Raiders written all over him.
He has Raiders written all over him. Those were my thoughts, perfect fit for Davis and his mentality of the bad boys in the NFL.

Titans begin to plan Pacman's future
Team waiting for league to end suspension

The Titans met with representatives of Pacman Jones earlier this week to begin sorting out their plans for the suspended cornerback, but reached no resolution.
The team's options — trade, release or keep Jones — remain alive if and when the NFL reinstates him. Commissioner Roger Goodell has said he won't review the matter until after the Pro Bowl on Feb. 10.
Titans officials were unavailable for comment but the team issued a statement about the meeting:
"We have had internal discussions and a meeting with Jones' representatives since the season concluded. Assuming he is reinstated at some point, which we have received no indication when or if that will occur, we face various decisions. At this point, no decisions have been reached, but in order to have the best information available to us, we did inform his representation that, at some point, we would investigate all of our options.
"We will not comment otherwise until the suspension has ended and we have reached conclusions about his future with the club."
Manny Arora, one of Jones' attorneys, said the team's statement is reflective of the situation.
"Really nothing is happening until he gets reinstated and we don't know when that will be," Arora said. "I've heard reports all over the place and honestly I don't know. I try to remain optimistic but sometimes I get disappointed. So I'll leave it alone. When they call us, they call us."
An ESPN report that the Titans informed Jones they intend to trade him was likely a case of someone "reading between the lines" too much, Arora said.
Michael Huyghue, Jones' agent, did not return a phone call seeking comment. Goodell likely will be asked about Jones after his annual state of the league press conference today at the Super Bowl.
News of the meeting emerged on the day a Murfreesboro judge dismissed disorderly conduct and public intoxication charges against Jones stemming from an August 2006 arrest.
Also Thursday, Atlanta police said they are no longer investigating allegations made against Jones, then withdrawn, connected to a strip club altercation earlier this month.
But a Georgia case from 2006 involving a felony obstruction of justice charge has yet to be resolved. Arora said he expects it to be resolved in the next month.
Trade talk
The trade market for Jones, a skilled cornerback and dynamic return man, is likely to be thin.
Many teams would be wary of adding a player who was suspended for a season for an accumulation of off-the-field issues, but only one of the league's 31 other teams needs to be willing to make a deal.
Cowboys owner Jerry Jones is not afraid to take on players with issues in their past and the Cowboys need depth at cornerback, where Jacques Reeves and Nate Jones are set to become unrestricted free agents.
Pacman Jones was filmed last summer saying he would like to play for the Cowboys, though his Nashville attorney, Worrick Robinson, said Thursday that the player's preference is to remain in Tennessee.

either Dallas or Cincinnati
Dallas or Oakland yeah, but Marvin Lewis has had his fill with "bad boys", you can expect him to pass on Pac Man.
