I think it may be nice if we try to pick up another good DE pass rusher if there is one thats worth our 1st round pick.

Giants showed what a good pass rush can do. Strahan and Osi wreaked havoc.

I'm kinda stating the obvious  but I think if you get a good pass rush it makes the secondary look alot better.

I agree here seeing the Giants secondary really lacks any real threats. But, they don't need to do alot, just be mid-level guys, when the front 4 or 7 plays so well and is so good.

I think all aspects of the defense steped up in the last night. The front seven all did extremely well but the secondary while not being on the same level as the Patriot recievers stepped up and made some decent plays. The true strength still lies with that defense frontline but it was impressive all the way around.

And it is funny how, Webster has made big plays in nearly every playoff game. It wasn't an interception but his assistance covering Moss in those final seconds helped saved the game.

All throughout the game, I was telling my friends that I hope someday soon our own D-Line will look like that. Wreaking havok all around.

Yeah the REAL MVP of this game was the Giants D. Eli got b/c of his na me IMO. The D held the highest scoring Offense in history to 14 points. If you score 17 points and beat this NE team then that is all D and to me they are the real MVPs of SB XLII.

I completely agree. Manning did nothing to deserve the MVP. Actually late in the game he had acouple of passes that just nearly got intercepted.

The real heros were the giants D-line who made the Pats O-line look absolutely silly.

While I would agree the Giants D played a very large part in winning the game, I can't agree that Manning did nothing to deserve the MVP. Well, unless escaping from a blitz's grasp and lobbing a touchdown pass to win the game is nothing.

Good thought Rich!! You know that is what I (and everyone else) is waiting for too.....and I think we will see our D line play on that level in the near future as well!! The Giant's D line really "set the table" for their victory and I have to believe the Texans D line is going to put on the same display on a regular basis before long, they are young and are only going to get better.

How about Vernon Gholston (Ohio State). I know Big 10 haters abound here but this guy is a stud and I believe he is coming out early, but I may be wrong about that.

To be fair, it's not like the Giants front four was getting to Brady quickly. On most occasions, he had time to throw the ball, just no one to throw it to. On an individual basis, I guess you can say they don't have big names, like Samuels, or Hobbs, but together, they played like a team.

IMHO, their LBs outclass ours(as a group) & that's why Brady had to hold the ball. They took away the underneath, and intermediate stuff, and he just had to wait, until his recievers opened up.

Our LBs don't understand zone coverage, and we allow QBs to nickel and dime us all day long. Our front four doesn't have time to get to the QB.

What our players don't understand is a direct result of coaching.....straight up.
Maybe with the addition of Ray Rhodes, more understanding will be conveyed to those linebackers.
