I thought the Texans' ad featuring Ephraim Salaam and Chester Pitts was by far one of the best ads during the superbowl. It was hilarious and it was awesome to see the Texans on Superbowl Sunday. Hopefully, those guys can lead to a stable o-line for years to come and maybe the Texans will actually be there some day. It was a great commercial and I loved it. I wish I had the DVR going. Great job NFL, there are other teams besides the Cowboys and the Packers. They should market the other teams as well, this is a good first step.

I was expecting a little bit longer ad but it was pretty cool. I'm glad we made it to .500 though because we could've taken a lot of ridicule......"yeah the Texans are losers because they have food baggers on their O-line".......:o

It was nice seeing us get a spot on the biggest prime-time stage and I liked Chester's Oboe play at the end.....dude's got some serious nerd skills.

I think Pitts is a good player and I am glad he beat that traffic situation (late in the season (http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=3134548)) he was facing but the fact that he isn't playing the oboe destroys 80% of the extra respect I gained for him because of the Super bowl commercial. :(

Edit: Edited for clarity. Sorry about that mind was clouded on... some other things.

Yes, pretty much everytime Chester said that it was money comedy-wise. I also liked the part when he was in a 3 point stance and said "Hi, my name is Chester" and shows him dominating his man down the field.

Man, sometimes I wish he could play like that in real life.

I thought this was the best commercial during the super bowl. It was funny and showed that both Ephrim and Chester are high quality personalities.

Funny how you don't see any Reggie Bush commercials anymore.

Survey: NFL Chester Pitts Super Bowl Ad Was 'Most Liked'
February 07, 2008

Though an earlier survey by TiVo showed that E*Trade's Super Bowl ad was the most viewed, new data from IAG Research claims the NFL's Chester Pitts ad was the most liked and FedEx's carrier pigeon ad was the most recalled.

E*Trade's ad featuring a talking baby scored high, netting No. 7 on the "most viewed" and No. 8 on "most recalled" lists.

IAG, New York, bases its findings on 18,000 surveys with people who watched Sunday's telecast. The NFL's ad, about a Houston Texans player named Chester Pitts who was discovered bagging groceries by fellow Texan Ephraim Salaam, performed 72% better than the average Super Bowl ad.

FedEx's ad, which featured giant carrier pigeons attempting to make package deliveries, performed 50% better than the average Super Bowl spot in the most recalled category. Budweiser's ad featuring a Dalmation training a Clydesdale to the Rocky theme, finished second on both likeability and recall lists.

IAG rep Kelly Finamore said the company didn't break out which ads performed the worst. Said Finamore: "We like to focus on the positive."
