i hope the texans draft this guy instead of stewart because this guy has power and open field moves to go with it. The texans need a homerun threat and this guy has enough speed to be it.
Any opions

I am a J Stew fan personally. But probably because I saw more of him on TV last year than Mendenhall. I think either of the two would be one heck of an addition to our team. I think we need one of them on our team which is why I hope we take a RB when the #18 pick rolls around.
But.....to hear people tell it on this board (and other boards I am sure) we could pick a running back in the 7th round and that back would do just as good under our new OC.
I guess we will all see on draft day.

I watched this dude and he looked like a beast. I would love to see him as a Texan along with D. Walker and Chris Taylor o and Ron Dayne and that old guy A.Green.


ALso, I like D.McFadden but they were all over this mans crotch. They did not show any love to the dude out of East Carolina that ran a 4.29.

No wait. What the heck. Why don't you go ahead and give us your mock breakdown and free agent list so we can calculate all of the possible scenarios as long as we're here. ;)

j/k....sorry to bust on these threads but I'm sooooo exhausted with this subject that I'm about to lose my mind. :eek:

Can't freakin wait until free agency kicks off so we'll have some real stuff to discuss.

He tore up USC 's defense.That is a good thing from what I understand.Their defense was horrible when VY played them.

about mendenfall, and jstew...Wassup With Ray Rice....The guy ran just as fast, and he's just as big and strong...And he's a down hill runner who knows the one-cut system...Texans will draft this guy....He's a definite sleeper in my book.

My sleeper pick is K. Smith. This guy is the real deal if we dont go RB in the 1st. I would luv Stew or Hall in rnd 1 but if not this is our guy. Just to mention Rice aggravated his hammy after his first run in the 40. This could be a concern for someone who is interested in Rice. Hammy problems aint no joke for a running back.

See the reason is, i dont think jstew or mendenhall will even be on the board that long...if they are though, it would be pretty hard to pass up. But it's not like kubes/smith/gibbs, to go that way.until they break that tradition, then i would be for it.....i didint know Rice aggravated his hammy,because after they ran the 40's tey did the cut and balance drill and i seen him participate in that drill. But i was wondering why he only ran one 40..but all you really need is the first run to get a good evalution.

Im just implying what i heard Mayock say. It might not have been seriously aggravated but they did say he aggravated it, so we all can take that for whatever its worth.

I like Ray Rice too but you can't say he is just as big anyone. He weighed in at about 195 lbs i believe and he is 5'9''. I like him and think he could surprise some people and be pretty good maybe like a warrick dunn, but he is smaller than Reggie bush was coming out, and Maurice jones-drew. they are two of the smaller guys to come out recently.

As far as Mendenhall goes, he is quicker and has more wiggle that Stewart but stewart's size and strength i think make up for it. i would be pleasently surprised if we were to end up with either of them. unfortunately i agree with some of the other guys and dont think we will have a chance to.
