is his career regressing? Pittsburg D-coordinator, Carolina Head Coach, Houston Head Coach, Miami D-coordinator, and now Patriots secondary coach? College scout next?

That sounds realistic.
The Pats go 11-5 next season, watch.

Pats won't drop much if at all. They have the knack to win 12+ every year. They will fall from elite if Brady gets hurt or they somehow can't plug and go with new players any longer.
Look at last year, bring in a crop of WRs and presto...undefeated reg. season. half of them never saw a Pats game till they played one.
Hireing Capers for sec. help isn't a bad move, he can coach a D and with Hoddie, capers won't have much say, he just thinks he will.

This is just more proof that people didn't pay attention to at all with The Texans back from 02 to 06.

haha its the patriots fault. I guess ever since they lost the super bowl, they want to lose every chance they get. Capers will be good for fans who hate the patriots like myself :)

You mean they have perhaps the easiest division in the NFL, right?
Common the Pats get a free home playoff game every year. Yeah they are a good team, but they are also soooo overrated.

**** this is like a bad sequel. DOOM CAPERS in NE, lol. Ah well couldn't happen to a nicer team. Hell he is so bad he could mess up their video taping scheme.
He's not in a position of authority - he's a position coach/assistant on defense. Capers is a good defensive coach and in that role, he will probably do well. His problem here was that he had authority and the people he chose to surround himself with - Fangio, Pendry, QB coaches that had never coached QBs, OL coaches that had never coached OL etc., etc., were borderline competent at best. He won't have the opportunity to bring in his incompetent posse in NE. Buddy Ryan was a great DC but was .500 as a head coach and never won a playoff game.

Maybe he will talk them into needing to go young and get rid of Brady and Company;) NE 2-14...Priceless
Everything else Mastercard!

Just imagine the comedy that would ensue if the taping thing is as bad as rumors say. If the NFL has to flip the Pats-Rams Super Bowl, Belichick would all but certainly be suspended and the Pats would need a new head coach for the '08 season ...
