I'm not sure that he'd be considered a "steal." Steals are like us getting Eric Winston, who was considered a potential first-rounder, in the 3rd, or getting Demeco, also a potential first-rounder, in the second. If (and that's a huge if) Diles turns into a Pro-Bowler, it'd be more of a surprise, come-out-of-nowhere deal. Tom Brady and Terrell Davis weren't exactly considered steals, more like players who were a lot better than anyone thought they'd be.

Huh!? Run that by me again...
You get pro bowl performance AND Super Bowl MVP performance for sixth round money and that's not a "steal"?? Say WHAT!!!?
DeMeco Ryans was a nice surprise. A high 2nd round guy who played like a first round guy. But if you look at his awards in college he's always played at a high level and was always a leader. We expected him to be good, maybe not THAT good, but good. The surpise was that he was still around for us to grab. Eric Winston isn't really much of a surprise. A 3rd rd lineman that, right now, is a capable backup. That's what you'd expect from a 3rd rd pick. Now Big Nasty was a true bargain - first round performance from a third round pick.
But first round quality from a late 2nd day pick - THAT, my friend, is a "steal".

man we're bored
