Here's my plan guys....
My idea would be to bring in a veteran stop-gap guy - Ty Law. Sign him to a two year deal and let him and Bennett lock people up while D Rob gets healthy this year we draft a cb in the later rounds. That way we don't rush D Rob back, he's got his spot when healthy, we have a good player to face Peyton with in Law, Bennett learns ALOT, we groom our pick for depth.... everyone's happy and we stay competative!

I don't think we have enough cap to give a 30+ guy a 5+ million a year... remember green... well my post doesn't really have a point, im bored

Yeah but Green was a crapshoot to begin with, Ty Law is still productive and relatively injury-free.
Yeah but Green was a crapshoot to begin with, Ty Law is still productive and relatively injury-free.I tend to agree with towlie....rather put our money elsewhere. Not that this is a bad idea but it seems we get burned with older players and I would rather address this problem with youth. You can never have too many good CB's.
True that but what would you rather see out there next year, a rookie or a proven vet at CB. If they were to get Law or Florence or even a Jason Webster, they could bring D-Rob back mid season and plug him in at Nickel. That would be a nice little secondary, Law, Bennett, D-Rob...I have been pondering this since my man is out of action.Really hard to decide as I stated, all of the older players we have brought in have been one disappointment after another. As for Law I don't know if he will produce or just draw a payday...in his youth he was fierce no doubt. My problem with older players coming to the end of their careers is that most want to draw a payday and get out injury free.I want youth for loyalty and longevity... but hey most of this is my personal opinion.;)

i think florence would be much better for the Texans than Ty Law. I didn't hear much from Law this season and maybe this is why i think florence is a better fit. and besides Ty Law got burned by Roydell last season...Florence would be a better fit in case Dunta isn't the same. There you have a young corner already in place....plugging dunta in at the nickel will be perfect until he's able to make cuts and all that stuff 100 %. I think florence may have something to....wait a minute, Pac ain't coming back so we may need Florence too....nevermind

Got to admit, Law is a vet who can still play...might be a good idea, if the price is right.
Crap...I agree with you again!:mad:If he keeps making a habit of doing this we are going to have to change his name!:D

Ty law is not any good anymore and can really only play short zones. If the chiefs don't think he's good enough then he definatly isn't good enough for the TEXANS!

No deals!! I can't get used to being called Schaubie!!!C'mon dude...At least Schaub can throw a ball.By the way the surgery for the hangnail went fine...but the Doc said the only way Vinces surgery would be a success is if he replaces his arm with a bionic one.

Another mid-range guy to consider is Andre Dyson. The Jets just released him.
The argument "they played for X" used against Fernando Bryant, Ty Law or any other mid-range is kind of a weak argument. Jamar Fletcher wasn't a world beater w/ the Lions. He came in and produced decently for us. Not much more than a nickel corner, but adding a guy with upside of any kind to play nickel that could start in a pinch would give us some depth at probably a reasonably price.

Well that's great GO TEXANS...i'm glad to hear the surgery went so well!! That may explain the "linus blanket" Schaubie has been carrying around...

Ty law is good for mentoring D Rob and our young CB's.
