This guy is fast(4.47) and weighed in more than Demeco. I say we take him in the 4th if he's available, but his down side was that he was slow...that's been disprooven, so maybe his stock is gonna go up soon. He plays for Georgia Tech. Anyone know anything about him?

Personally, i like Gooden from the U & Woodyard from Kentucky in late rnds. They are not the fastest, strongest but they both are right there in the middle of the pack just like Demeco was.

Be careful judging strength by the stupid combine bench press test. First it does not test strength, it shows strength endurance. There is a story about Fred Hatfield and Tom Platz having a squat competition. If you don't know who there are Hatfield was a powerlifter with a 1000+ lb squat to his record and Tom Platz was a pro body builder that had the biggest legs you have ever seen. They performed a max lift: hatfield stopped at 925 and Platz put up a high 700s or low 800s, then they did 625 for reps, Hatifield got 12 Platz got an astonishing 25. The bench press test for reps doesn't show an athletes true strength just how much strength endurance a player has. For football you would rather have a Hatfield type lifter. Additionally, it doesn't take into account things like arm length - a long armed lifter has a mechanical disadvantage in the bench vs a short arm barrel chested athlete, however a long arm LB would have slighlty better range when tackling because of his reach.

larry grant, the unheralded LB playing beside freeman and laurinaitis should be around in the 5th or 6th. he put up some solid numbers and was a big time juco player before transferring to OSU. didnt put up huge stats, but he played next to 2 future NFL LB's in freeman and laurinaitis. also was forced to play SLB because of those 2. he may be a sleeper. 6'1 235lbs, 20 reps, 4.70 speed

geno hayes may be around in the 4th. he's an aggressive guy who actually measured in a little better than expected.
