She is VERY hot and she is Zach Thomas' sister, so maybe he'll go to Dallas for a family reunion....:D

Edit: Or not, apparently they are getting a divorce!

Here's a pic of them at some awards show.

Taylor is under contract for two more years. He can say he wants to cut ties with the Dolphins all he wants but it's not his call. Ultimately the Tuna has the final say. If someone is willing to pony up a trade with some value to it then I'm sure they'll consider it but the only other way Taylor doesn't play for them is if he retires.

Yesterday Miami took Merling and the analysts starting talking about JT being traded. Don't know if it would happen but I would be stoked if we would trade our 4th/5th for JT. Can you imagine him and Mario as bookends?

Taylor would be an awesome pick up.........however, his salary and the amount it would take to get him combined with his age doesn't make it worth it for the Texans IMO..........I wouldn't doubt that the Cowboys look into it.....maybe for Chris Canty who was a Parcells pick.

Wants a trade, he recently demanded it..he could be the de opposite of mario we've been looking for..i assume the Fins will settle for a 2nd round pick so they dont have to deal with even more publicity..

Ties between Dolphins, Jason Taylor all but severed
By STEVEN WINE, AP Sports Writer

Buzz Up PrintMIAMI (AP)—The feud between Jason Taylor and Bill Parcells intensified Wednesday, making it likely the six-time Pro Bowl defensive end has played his last game for the Miami Dolphins.

Coach Tony Sparano said Taylor isn’t expected to take part in any team activities through training camp. The revelation came less than 24 hours after Taylor finished second to Kristi Yamaguchi in the finals of “Dancing With the Stars” in Los Angeles.

For weeks the new Dolphins regime, led by Parcells, has fumed while Taylor spent his offseason focused on his budding Hollywood career rather than back in South Florida working out with teammates.

Following a voluntary team practice Wednesday—with only Taylor missing— Sparano signaled the Dolphins are ready to move on without their top defender.

“I’m glad we know this. We’ve gotten the information, and that’s important,” Sparano said. “I know that Jason is not going to be in any minicamps, and I know that right now Jason is not going to be at training camp.

“So that’s what we know. Jason’s a player under contract with the Miami Dolphins. He knows that. Both parties are well aware of the information. That’s all I’m going to say about it. … We need to discuss the current players on our team right now that have been busting their butt for nine weeks here.”

While Sparano implied that Taylor initiated the latest development in the soap opera, the coach declined to be more specific. Taylor and his camp were mum about the situation.

In a recent interview, Taylor said he was unhappy he had talked “probably less than a minute each” with Parcells and new general manager Jeff Ireland, which he perceived as silent treatment. But the 33-year-old Taylor said he still planned to play this season.

“I want to win, period, and I would love to win in Miami,” he said Saturday from Los Angeles. “There are a lot of things out here going on, and a lot of opportunities coming up, but the plan is to play. Football is still my priority. I still have a passion to play football.”

Taylor was in New York on Wednesday for post-“Dancing” network TV appearances. He planned to fly back to Los Angeles for meetings Friday with executives of Universal and Warner Bros., while the Dolphins hold a voluntary three-day minicamp this weekend.

A mandatory minicamp is scheduled June 6-8. Taylor is expected to return to South Florida by June 2, when he hosts a charity golf tournament.

Taylor was the lone Pro Bowl player for the Dolphins last season, when they went 1-15. Defensive tackle Vonnie Holliday, who is close to Taylor, said his friend’s absence isn’t a distraction for the other players.

“All they want to know is if and when he’s coming back,” Holliday said. “That’s the only issues we have with JT right now.”

Taylor has been plotting a Hollywood career since joining the Dolphins as a rookie in 1997, and he envisions himself in the kind of action roles that made Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson a movie star.

Taylor was the subject of trade speculation throughout NFL draft weekend, but at the time, Ireland denied the Dolphins were eager to part with him. Jacksonville Jaguars coach Jack Del Rio said his team pursued a deal, but the Dolphins took Taylor off the trading block.

Owner Wayne Huizenga has said the team’s open to trading Taylor. Last month Miami drafted two defensive ends as potential replacements—Clemson’s Phillip Merling in the second round, and Hampton’s Kendall Langford in the third round.

Taylor had 11 sacks last season to increase his career total to 117, third among active players, and he was chosen NFL Man of the Year.

AP freelance writer Andy Kent in Davie contributed to this report

Seems they may just release him.

he had 11 sacks on the worst team in the nfl last season..i think he has a lot left in him..11 sacks is better than tj and weaver combined..im just saying i think the texans should look into him.

I think the Jaguars will take a hard look at him too. He has a couple of very good years left in the tank and with a new team he would probably feel invigorated.

If he wants a championship team... he should go to the pats... Imagine going to a team who could potentially go undefeated again in the regular season and he gets to beat up on the dolphins twice a year

Honestly he would be a great fit at outside linebacker in their 3-4 system

i wouldnt turn him down if he wanted to come here. i wouldn't give much more than a 4th to get him. i think you would get more production out of him than any other DE we have opposite Mario.

isnt this a thread already?

34 years old, entering his 12th year, scheduled to make $7.5 million this year and $8 million next, set up for life financially, head obviously not into football any more, priorities seemingly focused on his post-football show business/media career ... yeah, great idea.

if he becomes a free agent, i am for the texans signing him for a 2 year, 15 million dollar contract. c'mon people, this is jason taylor we are talking about here. the most consistent and productive defensive end/ outside linebacker there has been for the past decade. he deserves every dime he makes or will make where ever he ends up. you know he is good for at least 10 sacks a year and is not on steroids. you cant say that about too many defensive ends. and to think he will be paired up with mario williams if we get him is like WHOA!!!! our d-line would be so ill, i am getting excited just thinking about it. everybody saw what strahan and umeniora did last season in NY, just imagine what JT and MW will do in houston. i'll pay 15 million dollars for that in a heart beat. it may be low key right now, but i can imagine how many teams are sitting back, licking their chops, and waiting for bill parcells to slip and let him go so they can jump on him......and houston better be one of them.

Yes, you are the only one. We are far more than just 1 player away fromthe promised land. We are unproven at QB, WR, RB, and our safeties. Still a long way to go, but nice thought....

You know, he can make the Jags look like geniuses and Super Bowl contenders, if he goes to the Jags. Didn't make that trade, got two good DEs in the draft, and still ended up with Taylor who makes that defense even scarier.

I don't think the Jaguars would be interested in Jason anymore since they already spent their 1st and 2nd round picks on Defensive Ends.

I bet the Patriots are already negotiating something with the fish.

So what do you think - Faggins for Taylor?

You get that one done straight up and you will get a gold star.

05-23-2008, 10:56 AM
In my opinion the only reason Jason Taylor is contimplating retirment is because he is with a losing organization. If he was on a winning team that was getting closer to being champions, I would have to believe he would continue striving for a ring.

If the Texans can make it work, this would make our entire D-line into beasts! That would also make our secondary better due to pressure, which would then put our offense back on the field to score more.

I would love to see Jason Taylor in Houston even if it is only for the next 1-3 years.

edo783
05-23-2008, 12:55 PM
ubecool454, dalemurphy, and infantry would make the trade if they were the dolphin's GM because according to them Faggins makes big time plays in big time games. To bad one of them isn't the Dolphin's GM. They would make Charlie Casserly look like a genious.

Well I serously doubt that they think Faggins is that good. However, I also serously doubt they think he is the cow chip that you do. I'm not sure what/why yo have such a hangnail for Faggins. He is a NFL level Nickle/Dime type of CB and probably about mid level in the league in that position. If your looking for him to be a shutdown starter, your looking in the wrong place, but if you want a solid nickle/Dime guy, you could do a bunch worse.

You know...I think he may do just that. Hoodie would grab him to pair with the ageing DE's in NE. Not a bad idea...:)
