lol, yeah in my mind anyways...

First, we trade with GB to get the 30th pick in 1st round and a 60th pick in 2nd round, while giving up only our 18th pick in the first. (this is an equal trade value wise, look it up)

Fist we should sign FA Lito Sheppard, yeah, I think we can make one big sign.

1. Kenny Phillips - FS 30th overall (his stock has slipped so he should be available here)

2. Matt Forte - RB dude ran a 4.43 I think or something fast. big and powerful runner with speed. Imagine Dayne with speed. Combined with Darius Walker, this could be an intresting duo.

3. either Marcus Howard, Stanford Keglar, or Butler - OLB strongside linebacker who should stick with us for a good while.

4. the best LT prospect available - LT This draft has many good to decent / better than we've got LTs so there should be a pretty good one here. Some may hate this but our Defense is our primary concern and Salaam did pretty good last year so an upgrade from him should do just fine.

5. through 7. would be adding to depth at the secondary and offensive line positions.

We could also sign a FA DE to strengthen the D such as Kearse. Of course this would be expensive adding another big FA but I think we could completely dominate other teams with this team so it'd be worth it.

1. Not a bad idea. Different from what I though but not bad.
2. I like, or if Rice is there too.
3. I would switch this to #4.
4. This should be at #3 or possibly #2. Did you actually watch the left side of the line last year? Salaam is a back-up and that's all. Ask Schaub how his shoulder feels!
5. I agree. OL, DB, and possible LB depth

First,

Lito is not a FA. I like picking up Forte in the 3rd. I think he is a beast and would fit in with our new scheme greatly. I would go After Cromartie in the 1st and I know that Morgan won't be there in the third, but we could try to resign Demps and then get an OT in the 4th. IMO off course

makes sense. im a little down on phillips lately. sure he'd be a good pick at 30, but he's more of a SS. lance zierlein has been saying for months he was an in-the-box type of safety and i didnt wanna believe him because...well because he was friggan kenny phillips. i was a bit blinded by the hype

he's always been better defending the run in college and with his lack of elite speed (4.54) and a poor year, im not really sure how well he'd do as a FS playing centerfield. he also showed some tight hips at the combine so i question his coverskills. he's got good ballskills, but not the measurables, hips, or footwork to really take advantage of them. but at 30, he'd be a really good value.

actually, i think at 30, we'd have to really look at dajuan morgan as well, my #1 free safety. i think he's a bit better suited to play free safety than phillips.

Now you're talkin!! I like Salaam but he was having a real hard time against speed rushers and that all we have in our division. Other that that good job!

That would be nice but Cromartie won't make it to us after that workout he turned in at the combine. Don't get me wrong if he's there, we better be all over it but his stock has sky rocketed. Plus it almost sounds as if Demps doesn't wanna be here. Did anyone else get that vibe?

Texans aren't going to make him switch positions. He's either at LT or he will be cut.

I'll go along with your GB trade and assume we pick at 30 and 60.

#30 - RB Chris Johnson, East Carolina - most exciting player in this draft. nothing more needs to be said.

#60 - CB Patrick Lee, Auburn - Heck of a corner. In the mold of former Auburn CB David Irons. A bit more explosive than Irons, and an even better cover guy.
