I want Kenny Phillips, but if we miss out on him, who's left?

Is that Notre Dame guy a FS? Zibikowski?

I don't know his defined position, but as of last year, Zib played more like a SS than free IMO. Ferocious hitter, but not very good and stiff in coverage.

Travis Hefney FS/CB from Tennessee, Williams at Oklahoma, and Patrick Chung (Jr) at Oregon are the top prospects I know of.

if spencer doesnt come out as good as he used to be, and doesnt project to be as good as he was supposed to be, i think our best bet is to try and trade down, pick up a 2nd, take the best FS available, take one of the many OT's that should be around in the 2nd, and maybe one of the huge WR's or LB in the 3rd.

im interested to see how this brandon mitchall kid does during ota's. it should be interesting competition for the FS position this year... if nobody emerges this year, FS in the first round next year is a must

By the time the 2008 draft rolls around Brandon Mitchell will be starting at one of the safety spots.

They passed on Gattis, Terrel Brown (5th round) and Wendling (6th). Yougotta believe that some one on this staff really likes BrandonHarrison. I wouldn't be shocked at all if the day one starters areMithcell and Harrison. I hope they were correct because we're going tohave Gattis in our face twice a year for the next several years. AndBuffallo doesn't have to take a saftey high again for the next severaldrafts. They are set. We however, are still gripping about thesaftey/secondary woes. Same old same old.

There's no safeties ranked in the top 25 players for next year.. so maybe a 2nd rounder.

I don't care what they thought they saw in Harrison. The kid can not cover a slot receiver, he can't give any over the top help on a speedster, he runs a 4.65 (and his best time was on campus, he ran nearly 4.7 at the combine), and he has never been a ballhawk.

He'll end up at outside linebacker on passing downs and I doubt he's with the team in any capacity in 3 years.

I'll wager that Mitchell has a better career at safety.

I don't know why "experts" are overlooking talent, but just like last year from Miami, another JR will become the top prospect. FS is a impact position, and Phillips iis better than ST in college.

The guy from Clemson, Hamlin I think his name is, is a great safety. He was a sophomore next year...if he has a good enough season he may come out in 2008.
