I was thinking while the draft was unfolding what teams will get and have for us next year due to there changes in personell. My Thoughts are.......

@ Pittsburgh- Limas Sweed and Mendenhall This will be their first ever game. Mendenhall will fumble and Sweed will get a few false starts seriously I don't see Limas impacting game one maybe on 3 WR sets, and if Pittsburgh is running the ball on us will mendehall be any better than Parker??

Baltimore- No effect Rice is a back-up to McGahee and Flacco will be holding a clipboard.

@Tennesee With 8 in the box due to no passing threat we can contain that fast little dude (sadly the guy looks like Venus Williams with a bad dew)

@ Jacksonville (Since this is early the new DE's Harvey and Groves will not have their moves down yet), we better hope come December first they haven't progressed much either

Indy- I love Sun Devils but their top pick sucks The Devils couldn't block a soul last year They added some depth for injuries but maybe one OLB starter. They will be coming of an early bye week, so I hope they're rusty

Miami- Jake Long will be blocking but Mario will own him Merling will not be ready and Jason Taylor will be gone already

Detroit- They have a new back in Smith and a few guys on defense but the Lions will get tamed

@ Minnesota (coming off a bye) We need to double team Jared Allen and stop the run, Tavares is benched and Ferrotte hurts his neck celebrating again. Sage will throw two picks to Duante (first game back..... STARTING) and Bennett

Will do second half later, chat it up!!!

no need to do the second half, from your analysis we already know that every player drafted other than the texans will be terrible.

I hardly went out on a limb saying Mendenhall won't be a better back than Parker in his first NFL game, same with Harvey and Groves. Mario didn't do much his first 6 games either, and he was still better than they are.

Flacco will have a clipboard week two, and Ray Rice is no Willis McGhee

I admited The Titan running back is a threat, but they have little passing attack to open him up.

I watched all ASU games last year and their center sucks, I'm an alum, how many games did you watch of him?

Go to the who will be starters week one thread and get my crack pipe back from Outofhnd

Don't be so sure on that projection.

And Long vs Mario, that will be a battle and Long will win it as often as loose it. Long is a beast.

You made it sound like we will go undefeated and truth and justice will prevail.

I clearly picked one game the Lions, implied against Miami & Tennesee, said the Jags pass rush would be better December first than September 28th, hoped the colts would be RUSTY, hardly said anything else about the outcome of the games but here is my thoughts on our schedule

1 Sept. 7 at Pittsburgh Steelers L
2 Sept. 14 Baltimore Ravens W
3 Sept. 21 at Tennessee Titans L
4 Sept. 28 at Jacksonville Jaguars L

7 Oct. 19 Detroit Lions W

That's the thing about offensive linemen, even if they only lose twice, that's two sacks for the defender.

Okay, here's how things will REALLY go....

1 Sept. 7 at Pittsburgh Steelers W - Pitt's not gelling yet at this point

2 Sept. 14 Baltimore Ravens W - No offence, Flacco starts but makes rookie mistakes.

3 Sept. 21 at Tennessee Titans W - No offence and the losses on defence are gonna haunt them all season (hahahahahahahahahahaha!!!)

4 Sept. 28 at Jacksonville Jaguars L - They hit their stride early and the running game is hitting on all cyclinders while our defence is still trying to fiind their identity.

5 Oct. 5 Indianapolis Colts L - Hey, they are the Colts, O-Line MAY be the weakest point, so if we get some pressure on 'ole rocket arm we can keep it close.

6 Oct. 12 Miami Dolphins W - No justification needed

7 Oct. 19 Detroit Lions W - See above

8 Oct. 26 Bye

9 Nov. 2 at Minnesota Vikings ? - Gonna be a tough one with the offseason aquisitions the Vikes have made, could go either way.

10 Nov. 9 Cincinnati Bengals W - Disharmony breeds failure

11 Nov. 16 at Indianapolis Colts L - We try, and we try, I gotta be realistic here...but on a possitive note, we game plan them right and Bennett gets 2 picks becasue of the pressure the "D" puts on him.

12 Nov. 23 at Cleveland Browns W - With playoffs coming up they crack underpressure

13 Dec. 1 (Mon.) Jacksonville Jaguars W - We come into this game on a mission and beat the Jags handily! FIRST MONDAY GAME, FIRST MONDAY WIN......WOOOOOOOHOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!

14 Dec. 7 at Green Bay Packers W - Aaron has a rough first year as full-time starter

15 Dec. 14 Tennessee Titans W - Vince Dung throws 3 picks and has his back broken by Mario as he tries to get a game sinching first down in the fourth!

16 Dec. 21 at Oakland Raiders W - They have yet to get the talent on that team to work together

17 Dec. 28 Chicago Bears W - 3 pics, 2 fumble recoveries, and a playoff berth !!!!

...I gotta be realistic here...

Realistic? And you have the Texans winning 12, possibly 13 games?

lol?

The one thing you can't factor in is the injury bug, and you just know, after 2 straight years of more players on IR than on the field, we are due some luck. I will be plumb happy with 10-6 in no certain order.

I'd love to see the Texans win 10 games. It will take, however, 11 games to win the division. The division race will be between the Jaguars and the Colts.

It's kind of sucky to know that your team would have a shot at winning most other divisions, but there's just too much competition in this one. Imagine if you were in the Patriots division and they were somewhere else.

Yeah, just a flyer if Tavares Jackson blows up and Ferotte isn't getting it done.
