After our last couple of drafts, our defense is starting to resemble a force to be reckoned with for a long time to come. Our linebackers will be the youngest group in the league this coming season with Diles, Ryan, Adibi heading up the front. Mario and Amobi on the front line, and Bennet, Reeves, Earl, Harrison, and Robinson in the secondary. I can't wait for this season to begin already...

These 150+ days until kickoff are gonna kill me

Don't stick D-Rob in the mix till the whistle blows and he is on the feild. His injury was bad, and he maynot ever be D-Rob of old. Thats why the talk of a nickle and dime CB this season has been used.

D-Rob says he will be ready, but only time will tell if the knee and hammy will be ready and 100%.

I am really excited about this foundation we have built as well, and I feel like if D-Rob was healthy, we would be a top 5 defense no question. In my opinion he was the best run support corner in the league and a top 8 overall no doubt.

However he isn't healthy, and we have a lot of question marks, but good question marks, not putting guys in that are "well he has started before, but never really did anything...maybe change of scenery will help" but guys who have a bunch of talent and are waiting to explode on the nfl scene. We aren't overpaying players to come here and start, instead we have a lot of competition going into training camp.

Don't leave Okam off that young Dline. If he wants to, he can become a terror.

our defense is young but that's not always a good thing...you need some seasoned veterans to lead the way...i don't think adibi will quiet start from day one...i think greenwood will be hard to supplant from the starting line up...hopefully freddy-B and molden make coach hoke look like a genius

Don't forget Molden in our secondary as well.

Our defense is young, yes, and there is a ton of potential there....but we have virtually nothing in terms of depth at the Safety position and not alot of known quantities there. With Robinson out, Bennett is the #1 guy imo, so i sure as hell hope Molden works out and contributes early. Remember Reeves wasn't exactly all that in Dallas...here's hoping he plays better in press coverage.

I love our LB corps...we now have a surplus there...who will start at the open position though? DIles is penciled in, but there is a ton of competition there with Chaun Thompson, Adibi, and Bentley.

D-line is emeging....but we still lack that other edge rusher....

There is no way, even with Dunta Robinson, that we were gonna have a top 5 defense this year....we can be a much improved unit and hopefully more consistent...but by no means a top unit. There are some holes to fill yet....but the beauty of the situation is we are slowly doing so and at little detriment to our cap situation. here's looking to the future.

Those are some bold predictions having Diles, Adibi, and Harrison starting.
Greenwood will defiantly start every game this season, and Demps will start over Harrison.

Our depth at safety is very good, IMO:

Brandon Harrison
Brandon Mitchell
Will Demps
Glenn Earl
CC Brown
Nick Ferguson
Barber

three of those guys don't make the team, or at least the 53 man roster.

Regarding CB, we are better than last year. If Molden works out, JReeves will essentially be the 4th CB on the team once Dunta returns. Dunta, Reeves, Molden, Bennett would be a highly athletic and diverse group of CBs and easily the strongest unit this team's ever had- though the combination of AGlenn, Dunta, and M. Coleman wasn't bad in '03-'04

How do you leave out CC and Demps and pencil in Reeves and Harrison as the guys?

We're definitely going to need a little experience in the secondary with 23 missing a good part of 08

Back up ability? I don't even know what that means. To me it looks like he has starter ability considering he went out......STARTED, and had a pretty danm good season last year considering the holes in the secondary.

Maybe we can get REALLY LUCKY and this kid...

Nading (6-5, 258) grew up in Highlands Ranch, Colo. before attending Colorado State, where he started all 12 games at defensive end in his final season, collecting 56 tackles (19 solo), 3.5 sacks and one interception. He garnered second-team all-conference honors and was voted team captain before each of CSU's 12 games.

.......can make a contribution at DE. Im gonna be watchin this guy, the team captain stat was the most impressive in my book.
