Since it is slow this time of year let's get a little argument and wild speculation going.
Tell me which of these statements you believe are correct statements about our upcoming season.
1. Matt Schaub will play the entire season
2. The Texans will be celebrating their first winning season and playoff appearance.
3. Steve Slaton will rush for 1700 yards.
4. The Texans will finish below .500.
5. Jacoby Jones will catch more than six touchdowns.
6. Mario Williams will beat his previous sack numbers.
7. Andre Johnson will make another Pro-Bowl.
8. The Texans will once again finish at the bottom of the AFC South.
9. Bob McNair will sell the team to a German conglomerate who will rename them the "Houston Panzers."
10. ESPN will continue to behave as if we do not exist.

Keep in mind I didn't add the playoff appearence. I think we could go 10-6 and still not make the playoffs in our division and I got a bad feeling about wildcard this year.

My own personal opinion is that 1 is false.
I am really worried about Schaub. I have heard some talk that he is not 100%. I am really worried that he may turn out to be fragile.

(2) i believe they can compete for a wild card spot.
(7) If A.J stays healthy all year which i believe he will than he will make the PB.
Schaub hs already hurt his shoulder in mini camp, i love him as our QB but he doesnt seem to durable to me. I hope i'm wrong.
Link please.

Got a link for that? They are in non-contact drills and his shoulder injury was to his non-throwing shoulder.

Jacoby wont get 6 TD's. Also, with all of the RB's we'll have, I dont think Slaton will rush for 1700+ yards.

I'm going with 2 and 7. AJ is so reliable that you can set your watch to it and I think things are well in place for the Texans to finish at least 9-7.
OTOH, I don't see Tennessee improving. If anything, I suspect that they're going to take a step back to maybe 8-8. 7-9 wouldn't surprise either.

If one and seven happen, and I dont see any reason why they shouldnt, then 2 will happen.
6 should happen either way, and 10 is always a given

Matt will definately try to play as much as possible. The injury bug is totally random so who knows.
Record of 10-6 or 11-5 and at least a wildcard spot.
Slayton may gain way over 1000 yards, but not all rushing. His strength seems to be once he gets the ball in the open, look for him to line up as a reciver from time to time.
Mario will lead the league in sacks.
AJ will most likely go to the probowl, with Mario, DeMeco, and others.
ESPN?? What is that? Oh, yeah... those wannabe sports guys.

Got a link? Matt looked sharp as a razor in mini camp. And Kubes and Co all said he looks to have no rust or issue with the shoulder.

I think Mario will get close to his 14 sacks, but I tend to think that he will demand double teams this year and someone else will actually step up and get some of those sacks. Guys like ND Kalu, Earl Cochran and the new LBs we got.

I think the lack of a link answers the question.

Yeah, the secret is out on Mario, so more teams will be looking to double team and stop him next season. Which only leaves room for other defensive players to get sacks and put pressure on the other team.

I don't know that it was a secret, but teams will definitely be game planning Mario just like they are planning on Demeco. Mario needs to watch some Deacon Jones film and figure out just what he can get away with now from what Deacon used to do. Can't head slap the way Deacon used to do, but Mario could definitely learn some pointers.

What about Amobi? He had a really good season last year. If Mario is drawing a double team he will open it up for Amobi.

Not to mention if Okam comes out strong his rookie year, he can command double teams as well. Man can this season come soon enough?! :D
