They may need to work on his grip and give him the tiki barber hold. I heard he fumbled twice on non contract drills which sounds to me like hes squeezing the ball too hard.

or he's not looking the ball in...toss plays are very different from hand offs and pitches bcuz the ball comes in a lot faster so you have to take a half second more to secure the ball outright

Slaton already talked about his grip being readjusted to immulate tiki barbers grip after his fumbling was corrected. His fumbling in non contract drills probably had more to do with him being nervous than anything. If Slaton was going to be our every down back and would be running between the tackles a lot I may be concerned but for a third down back that will probably be operating in space ....no concerns yet.
